AN: The picture is how I imagine (Y/N)'s family but the right ages. ^^
This chapter starts from when (Y/N) is being driven back to the hotel.- First person POV -
I am struggling around a little bit in the back of the car, the seats are deceiving, they look comfy when in fact they're like stone. That's Hydra for you I guess.
As I'm struggling in the back I see three young kids in the road, they are oblivious to the car hurtling towards them and the driver clearly isn't stopping for them launch myself into the passenger seat.
"Stop! STOP!" I hit his arms frantically but he's still not stopping, the kids are barely 100 ft away, I open the door and jump out to run in front of the car. I put my right arm in front of the car, curling my metal knuckles into a fist and stop the car from hitting the children.
I'm able to stop the car before it hits the kids so I go over to them, as I get closer I see two boys and a younger girl. They look like my siblings before we were at Hydra, they're about the same age as my siblings just before they died.
"Hello." I must sound so dumb, what if they don't speak English? They look dumbfounded and confused so I'll switch languages for a while before they understand me starting with the obvious ones.
"Bonjour?" Not French then.
"Hallo?" Not German either. Maybe they speak Spanish
"Hola?" The little girls eyes light up with understanding.
"¡Hola!" She said full of enthusiasm. I let out a sigh of relief.
"¿Estás bien?" "(Are you okay?)" Worry lacing my already worried voice.
"¡Por supuesto! ¿Por qué no lo estaría?" "(Of course! Why wouldn't I be?) Does she have no idea that they nearly got ran over by a car?
"¡Casi te atropellan! ¡Tuve que detener el auto!" "(You nearly got ran over! I had to stop the car!)" Her eyes widen in shock a little and I see that it's just me and her standing in the road, the two boys had ran over to the field and were kicking a football around. She seemed completely unaware of the fact that there was a car coming whilst she was walking across the road.
I take a closer look at her, she seems about 7 years old and healthy. She is wearing a pink dress covered in butterflies and flowers, typical 'girlie' stuff I guess. She has a cute baby blue headband in keeping her long hazel hair out of her crystal blue eyes, she was really pretty for her age. Damn, she looks a lot like my sister, so much that it's creepy.
I look at the boys, twins I imagine, they look extremely similar, maybe 8 - 9 years old just like my brothers, they were twins too and looked remarkably similar to them just like the little girl looks a lot like my baby sister.
"¿Están tus padres por aquí en alguna parte?" "(Are your parents around here somewhere?)" I say looking around but I can't see anyone.
"No tenemos padres, estamos de regreso al orfanato." "(We don't have any parents, we're on our way back to the orphange.)" I look at her and see that she's carrying a small bag of groceries.
"¿Quieres que te acompañe? "(Do you want me to walk you back?)"
"No, está bien señorita." "No, it's okay miss" She says with a smile.
"Bueno." "(Okay)" I start walking back to the car, sparing a glance behind me to the little girl but she's not there, I guess they were in a hurry. I get back in the car and tell the driver to go back to the hotel.
- Driver's POV -
I can here the agent moving around in the back of the car, I keep glancing up at the mirror, she's being really distracting, I can't drive straight. I roll my eyes at her about to say something about it, then I remember that if she wanted to, she could kill me in a mere second so I decide to keep my mouth shut.
After a minute or two she settles down in the back of the SUV and I can finally drive distraction free.
Boy was I wrong.
She practically launches herself into the front seat next to me and starts hitting my arms shouting at me to stop in some weird language, most likely English.
I keep driving when she flings the door open and jumps out. She runs in front of the car and puts her metal hand into a fist, she stops the car right where she stands.
I feel my body being thrown forward at the sudden change of gravity, my shades fall off and the air bag is set off leaving me doubled over the dashboard. I get up slowly still a little disorientated when I see Agent (L/N) or 'The Ghost Agent' as everyone calls her, talking to herself?
She is standing in front of the car a few feet away crouched down speaking in Spanish, one of the languages I know. I put my shades back on and listen to her conversation with herself. At first I think she's just fucking crazy but I sense it's something more.
"Bonjour?" French.
"Hallo?" German?
"Hola?" Spanish. She stops listing ways to say hello in different languages and just stays silent.
"¿Estás bien?" "(Are you okay?)" She's definitely talking to herself.
"¡Casi te atropellan! ¡Tuve que detener el auto!" "(You nearly got ran over! I had to stop the car!)" What is she talking about? I didn't run anyone over, not even close, there's no one here.
"¿Están tus padres por aquí en alguna parte?" "(Are your parents around here somewhere?)" Who's parents?
I know she's seeing something I can't se.e
"¿Quieres que te acompañe? "(Do you want me to walk you back?)" Who is she supposedly talking to? Family? Friend?
"Bueno." "(Okay)" Whatever Hydra did to her really fucked up her brain.
She starts walking back to the car and glances behind herself before getting in, she tells me to start driving back to the hotel and I can't help but feel sorry for her. Even though I work for Hydra it wasn't a choice and I certainly wouldn't stay but they have my younger brother.
Imagine she has reason why she's here as well.
Not everyone in Hydra is a sadistic maniac. Not everyone wanted to work here. Not everyone still wants to work in Hydra. Not everyone-
Not everyone here is a dick is my point I guess.
AN: Sorry this chapter was a little shorter, I was busier today so had less time to write.
I just want to clear something up, so basically (Y/N) is struggling with many mental health problems including PTSD and is imagining that her DEAD siblings are there but she thinks they're real and doesn't know it's her siblings either. She thinks they are random children who coincidentally look similar to her siblings. I'll put a definition of PTSD on the next chapter because it will be mentioned a lot in this story, at some point I'll also explain any other mental health problems she has just in case you don't know. :)
Next chapter will hopefully be longer, hope you enjoy!
