AN: This starts from the end of the last chapter.
Really sorry it took so long to write and publish this chapter, I've been having a few issues recently but I hope you like it!
I also just wanted to say, thank you for all the reads!! ❤️
Loki leaves the room sighing in frustration, useless heroes. How dare a mere human tell him what to do, a petty mortal instructing him. Pathetic. He rolls his eyes at the thought.
He marches down the corridor head held high, boots clashing against the floor making sounds as he continues, making his way to the library. His library.
As soon as he gets to his library he shoves open the door revealing an near empty library. Only a few books remain on the shelves. He scans across the empty room looking for where all the books went, his eyes settle on a fort-looking structure made of books, a circle was made out of books towering high nearly touching the roof, a good 5 ft tall.
He can see a small gap between the stacks of books and walks across to the fortress of books and crouches down, what he sees surprises him. Or rather who he sees.
Inside, covered in books was (Y/N), her hair slightly falling on her face and tired eyes, she stares at the books in front of her. She's still bare foot and wearing the same outfit as the night before but she has the zip slightly undone, probably not purposely undone but undone none the less.
Loki's gaze softens as he sees (Y/N) and his posture relaxes slightly, he shrugs off his cloak and lays it on one of the shelves as he moves one of the stacks of books out of his way without (Y/N) even noticing.
He slides the stack of books to the side leaving a space big enough for a person to fit through. He crawls through the gap and sits down next to (Y/N) inside of her book fort.
She looks up from the book she was reading and directs her gaze and attention towards Loki, too tired to do anything she doesn't flinch or move, she only looks back down to her book.
Loki looks towards the book cover to see what she's reading about, Norse Mythology, he smirks.
"Reading about me are you?" She looks back up at him and points towards the chapter she's reading. It's titled. God of Mischief. He blushes slightly as (Y/N) seems totally unfazed by this. He peers over her shoulder reading what the book says about him.
A cunning trickster known for playing pranks and tricks on other gods or enemies, he does this by changing his appearance or gender, he can show an illusion of himself confusing people.
He stops reading about himself and looks back at the stacks of books until (Y/N) points towards something in her book. He looks at what it is, it's a drawn picture of him, he looks old like Odin and fat and weak, the only resemblance he has to the picture is the green and gold colours he wears.
"That depiction of me bears no resemblance to what I look like." He turns his nose up in offence.
(Y/N) just shrugs this off and keeps reading. As she turns the next page Loki snatches the book out of her hands.
"This 'Norse Mythology' book is spreading lies, you shouldn't read it."
(Y/N) pouts slightly and Loki swears it's the cutest thing he's ever seen but she hastily grabs a new book off of her pile.
'Astrology for Beginners.'
She glances at it and puts it on a different pile then picks up a different book.
Demon Slayer. Volume 1.
Perfect. She begins reading the manga mostly ignoring Loki's presence.
