the one after the first time

I wake up having shifted further onto Ricky's body during the night. My legs are wrapped tightly around him, as if I was clinging to him in my sleep, and his arms encircle my shoulders as he snores quietly.

I push myself up as slowly as I can, not wanting to wake him, and I smile when I notice how peaceful he looks, a small smile formed on his face as he sleeps. "I love you more than you'll ever know." I mumble quietly, drawing a finger over the length of his jaw before sinking back into my spot against his chest.

I draw circles into his skin and revel in the feeling of his muscles contracting underneath my touch, just enough to notice.

I begin to hear Ricky's breathing even out before I feel his body stretch out under mine, and then he's up and I'm smiling like an idiot as I crane my neck up to meet his eyes for the first time this morning.

"G'morning Nins" he smiles, his voice low and husky from sleep. "Morning" I whisper out with a smile, continuing to run my fingers over his skin as he adjusts us so that he can look down at me. "How'd you sleep?" He asks and I scoot myself up, nuzzling my nose into his neck. "Really well." I say, before asking him the same question.

Ricky's arms tighten around my waist, holding me closer as he speaks. "Same." He mumbles, his fingers trailing down my bare back. I nod, a smile forming on my face from the complete serenity and peace that has fallen over us.

We're still naked, not bothering to have put on clothes before we cuddled up and fell asleep last night. I feel like normally that fact would make me awkward and uncomfortable, but instead, I find myself snuggling into Rickys warm body, just wishing to get closer to him.

"How are you feeling this morning?" Ricky asks quietly, his thumb traveling down the length of my spine before finding its way back up to the back of my neck. I close my eyes against his skin. "I feel..." Ricky tenses up underneath me and as I take a second to search for a word, but when I whisper out "incredible" he relaxes and lets out a little breath. "You don't regret anything? You're still okay with what we did?" Ricky asks quietly and I push myself away from him, leaning onto his chest so that I could look in his eyes. Cupping his cheek, I rub my thumb against his cheek bone. "I don't regret a single thing." I promise and Ricky closes his eyes, seemingly to take my answer into consideration. "Good because I've um, fallen so hard for you. I love you so much." Ricky says and his confession makes my heart pound and my face flush, and all I can do is reach forward and wrap my arms tightly around his neck, resting most of my weight against his body. Ricky's arms wrap around my waist and his face nuzzles into my shoulder and I sigh. "I love you too."

After the grueling decision to get out of bed, Ricky throws on a pair of gym shorts and a plain grey t shirt before telling me that he was going to make pancakes for us.

After getting dressed in comfortable clothes myself, I meet him in the kitchen and smile when I see him putting some of the used dishes into the sink. Walking over to him, I reach a hand up and massage his shoulder gently, standing up on my tippy toes to press a kiss to the back of his neck. "Hey" he grins, turning to me and I smile, leaning in to him to wrap him in my arms.

We can't seem to keep our hands off of each other for the entire breakfast, our moods giddy and our smiles consistently present. Every time he glances over at me I blush, and every time I meet his eyes, they sparkle like I haven't looked at him in months. His hand rests one my leg throughout our entire meal and when we're finished, Ricky leans over to peck my cheek and tell me to hang out in the living room while he cleaned up.

"What? No, I can help!" I insist as I stand up, trying to take my own plate to the sink. Ricky grins and shakes his head, his hand touching my waist as he attempts to get me to hand over my dish. "Pick a movie for us Nins, I really wanted to treat you this morning and that includes the clean up process." He says and his expression has me caving, nodding as I lean in and give him a grateful peck on the cheek.

I lay down on the couch, my body stretching out completely over the furniture as I keep my head turned to scroll through Netflix. I sit up quickly though, my head whipping towards the kitchen doorway when I hear a yelp come from the room. ""Ricky?" I question and I hear him begin to whine. "Ouch" I hear before he starts to curse out the oven. "Babe?" I ask again and Ricky finally addresses. "I grabbed the plate in the oven that we used to keep the pancakes warm." He says and I cover my mouth, resisting a giggle. "You reached into the oven without an oven mitt?" I ask, trying to keep the amusement out of my voice, but when there's complete silence from the kitchen, I turn and I'm met with a squinting Ricky, standing in the doorway of the kitchen.

"Yes, I thought it'd be cool by now!" He argues and I can't help the tiny giggle that escapes. Ricky's face contorts into mock offense and he holds up his hand. "Come on now, I'm really injured." He whines and I beckon him over to me. He gives me his injured hand and I look hard, but I glance up to him raising my eyebrows. "I can't see anything babe." I say and he huffs, lifting his hand back up to his face. "That's clearly a burn." He tells me, giving me his hand back to examine again. I grin and glance up at him again, to which he sighs heavily and grumbles.

"Okay okay, if you're really injured come here." I say, a smile still obvious in my voice. I slide down the couch so that I'm laying down flat against the cushions and I watch Ricky's eyebrows furrow. "Come where?" He asks and I grab his hand, leading him onto the couch. He rests a knee on the cushion and sizes up the fact that he won't fit next to me, and I shake my head. "Lay down" I urge and he shakes his head. "On you?" He asks in disbelief, and I giggle, pulling him down on top of me. He's shocked and immediately tries to get his weight off of me, but I scoot towards the edge of the couch so that there's room for him against the cushions and he immediately sinks in next to me, his legs intertwining with mine while his head finds a place in between my breasts. He sighs and I close my eyes, feeling his arms encircle my waist as he lays against me. I rake a hand through his curls, the way he's pressed into me giving me the ability to feel his heart rate quicken as I do so.

"How's the injury?" I ask after a bit of peaceful silence. "Doing much better now." He murmurs against me before I feel him tighten his embrace. A smile creeps its way onto my face and I hold him just a little tighter too.
