Aquarius's POV
Yesterday, I watched the black Camry drive out of the parking lot and into the road. Today I watched Scorpio's beat up Toyota Corolla pull up beside me in the parking lot.
"On time today?" I asked while getting out the car.
"Mom pissed me off this morning. I got breakfast though." He held up the Mickey D's bag containing his breakfast.
"Did you get me and Taurus something?"
"Of course I got Taurie something. Sausage McGriddle, her favorite." I shoved him by the shoulder. Did I really have to fuck him to get free breakfast? Maybe free breakfast is one of the benefits between friends with benefits.
"I got you something too, man. Did you really think I would forget?" He reached back into his car and pulled out a large cup then handed it to me. "Here's your morning Sprite. Your two sausage and egg McMuffins are in the bag."
"Thanks."
"No problem."
"Taurus needs to get her fucking driver's license. I was gonna pick her up, but I wasn't gonna wait an hour for her to get ready."
"You know how girls are."
Scorpio was one of the worst driver's in the world. Loose on the wheel. Barely pays attention to the road or his surroundings. Has gotten in eight minor accidents. One of those accidents completely taking out his passenger side mirror. I don't understand why Taurus was so concerned about taking the test. If Scorpio passed it, then she could too.
We walked into first period and took our seats.
"Morning, Mr.Galinsky and Mr.Fuller."
"Morning, Mrs.Walsh."
"You going to move out when you turn eighteen, right?" I asked Scorpio.
"Can't really afford to move out."
"But you can afford McDonald's once a week." I pointed to the multiple logoed bags sitting on our desks.
"Being able to buy a $5 meal is different from being able to pay rent."
"True true."
"My grandma said I can move in with her, but I'm not sure if that's a great choice." He looked up in thought for a second.
"Why not? Not like she's croaking anytime soon. She's only like fifty, right?"
"Sixty," he corrected. "And it's not about her age. If I go to Tech, then I'll have an hour commute to and from school."
"Doesn't Tech have student housing?"
"It's limited from what I've heard." He took a long sip of his drink. I noticed his fingers anxiously tapping the side of the Styrofoam cup.
"Have you even applied?"
"Taurie's supposed to help me with that today." He cut another bite-sized square of pancake and put it in his mouth.
"Ah..." I debated on whether or not I should say this or not. I didn't want him to blow up on me especially so early in the day. Even if I don't say it, he's probably already aware. "You know Taurus can't help you with everything right?" He stopped chewing. All of his movements came to a halt. I couldn't read him. Was he about to kill me? Could he at least let me finish eating first?
"I know. She's just going to help me make it look nice. I think she called it 'embellishing' or something."
"So lying?" I pursed my lips together.
