Leo's POV

I need friends.

Like urgently.

I've been stuck at this school for almost a week and still haven't made a single friend. The closest I've gotten to actually making a friend was getting some guy's Snap during lunch, then receiving a bathroom dick pic during 4th block.

Aries hasn't made any friends either, so I'm wondering if the school banded together and typecasted us as the "weird step siblings" that you shouldn't befriend.

It was lunch now.

It was the perfect opportunity to find a group to sit with. For the past few days, I've found myself eating my lunch in a bathroom stall.

I saw Taurus from first period. She seemed like a chill girl that I could possibly be friends with; however, she was a package deal. Aquarius seemed cool too, but Scorpio... He was cute and all, but he was intimidating. Same went for Virgo and Capricorn. They were pretty intimidating, and I'm pretty sure they would make me feel stupid. I know Libra, Cancer, Gemini, and Pisces probably wasn't my kind of clique. From the one time we had lunch together, they seemed wayyy too cool for me.

I guess that left Sagittarius, but she seemed to disappear after grabbing her food from the lunch line.

I sighed, deciding on just eating in the parking lot. Eating in the bathroom became a bit depressing. Last week, a girl was sobbing in the neighboring stall after her college boyfriend dumped her. I also got ran out of the bathroom by a group of girls trying to hotbox the bathroom with cool mint Juuls.

I opened the door to outside and sat on the grass.

"Heyy. You're from my chem class, right?" I glanced over to see Sagittarius sitting on her skateboard and eating her walking taco.

"Ummm...yeah," I answered. "We worked together on that sig figs project in class." She sat blank in thought. Her eyebrows were knitted together.

"I don't really remember that day," she nervously laughed and scratched the back of her head. "Must've been tired."

"Oh, that's fine." Internally, I was so grateful she had no memory of me arguing with Aries over #2 on the worksheet. Or she was faking that she didn't remember. Hopefully, she didn't remember.

"So how did you end up here?" She asked. "It's hard to end up here unless you're like in witness protection."

"My mom remarried. My stepdad got a job offer here."

"Cool." She took a sip of her drink. "Unless it's not cool. I dunno."

"I just hate that I had to switch high schools my senior year."

"That seems hard. I've been here my entire life, but almost everyone here is like that."

"Is everyone from our chemistry class from here?"

"Yeah, you and Aries are the only newbies." That was weird. When I had lunch with Cancer, Gemini, Libra, and Pisces that one time, Cancer was consoling me telling me that moving here was a hard adjustment for her. She told me that it takes time to eventually find your people.

"Cancer told me she came here from Korea in middle school."

"Cancer's a pathological liar. Don't believe a word that girl says," Sagittarius says while laughing. "Cancer has lied and will lie about anything and everything."
