"Alex, you can't stay in the room all day." Janis whispered quietly as she pulled on her sister's arm. "Oh you best believe that i can!!" Alex yelled at her sister. It had been three days since she last saw the prince. After she was compromised by him, Alex had been hiding in her room ever since. Luckily her mother had to rush of on a "journey" which was very unnatural but neither noticed with the attention of the prince. Not willing to come out of the room, Janis had been trying to get out of her cell.

"I want to see Blue and I cant do that if you don't come with me." It was dark again and this was usually the time that they would sneak out of the house but Alex was hesitant. Who knows who he told or what he would do when she saw him again. Janis listen very carefully. Alex said grabbing her by the cheeks and pulling her close to her. Annoyance shadowed her face as Alex whispered "I am not going!" Janis growled at her in frustration as Alex grabbed the covers and threw it over her head. "You can go by yourself. it wouldn't be the first time." Alex said waving her hand towards the window. Janis growled again and jumped out of the window.

As Alex shifted back to sleep, she couldn't help but think of him. His blue eyes and his amber hair sweeping in the wind. His smile. How his lips would ta-

NOPE. Alex said startling her self. "If your going to think of anything think of why he's here in the first place." Alex thought to himself. Maybe there looking for soldiers. But for what? No. If he needed soldiers he would have sent messengers and some of his generals. No. He wants something from this town especially. Alex would have heard, no everyone would have heard if he had was heading their way. But she didn't. It's almost as if he came here for something specific. But for what? Alex groaned, slipping her hands into her head, her feet stopping as she realize she was pacing. As her hands ran up from her cheeks to her forehead to her head. Alex took a quick glance at her "promises".

A "promise" was physically inked on whoever made the promise's . Depending if the promise was good or bad it would be on the left arm or right arm. All of Alex's was on her right side, her good side. And with that Alex let something slip. A mistake which she usually correct herself for but this was different. I wonder where my father is? I wonder if he's okay? i wonder if he'll come back? Would he like her the way she is now? Even after everything he had let happen? Would he be proud of her or would he think of her as a menance? A traitor?

Would Prince Sean come back? Would he hurt her? Did he want her for something? As she thought she got more dangerously to a single fear that she had indeed thought for the three days she was trapped in her room. Was Prince Sean here because of her father?

With that question in mind, Alex lays in the bed and sleeps but while Alex is finally getting some sleep Prince Sean is tapping his quill on his chin in frustration. Who was she? Why did she save him? and how did she know he was in danger in the first place. Who were the two other people beside her? With a thousand questions swimming through his mind he leaned deeper into his chair. He never got a name or a look at her face so he cant ask people who she was. All he knows is a small description that keeps sending shocks of love into his heart and mind. Brown curly hair, a mask, and black eyes. Not much to go on.

Lots of people wore mask in this town. he realized. Sean was pulled out of his mind when a sharp knock came on his door. "Come in." Sean said sitting up straitening as his general came in the room. "What do you have for me?"

"The city's called Ksam'. It's small now but it was much bigger before. The town was made from thieves and liars. Everyone stole and stole back from each other." The general said putting his hands behind his back.

"Why would you go someplace you know was unsafe?" The prince inquired.

No one knew it was unsafe to higher-class it was known as caep' the town of peace. the real reason of the town was kept a secret to mostly everyone sir.

"Is it still that way general. Are we walking into a hive of wasp or are we walking into an abandoned cave?"

It is peaceful now, sir. There's a theory that when the old war started thieves brought their families here for safe keeping. After the war, the thieves moved on and ran, thinking it was best to separate themselves from their family. So no one would suspect."

I see. Prince Sean whispered. And indeed he did. "Is it possible that they're here, Medious?"

"Yes sir. The wife and her two children." Medious said nodding his head. "They might not go quietly. Bag them and bring them here." The prince ordered grabbing his quill and signing a paper. Medious opened his mouth to speak against that but he decided not too. he had trusted the prince with his life before. He had never gotten hurt before so he trusted his judgement.

Medious turned and reached for the doors. "Goodnight, Prince Sean. Sleep well."

"Only if my conscience let's me."
