Alex was a light sleeper. Most of the time anyway. Most night she was awoken by the moonlight, sometimes it was a bunch of kids playing outside, but tonight it was her sister. Unfortunately. "Alex!" Janis says lightly pushing her shoulder. "What do you want?" She groans rubbing her eyes with the back of her hand. As she rolled over onto her back and opened her eyes she saw her sister standing in front of her. Fully clothed.

"it's time." Janis says. standing up fully, grabbing the long box from under Alex's pillow, and poking her shoulder lightly. Come on, sleepy head. Mom's sleep and you know after 2 o'clock she doesn't wake up for anything. Janis watches as Alexandria stands up quietly, her feet hitting the cold floor. Okay. It's my turn right? Alex asks, grabbing a pair of boots and a cloak. She was already dressed for this trip. She stands in her mirror and puts her curly kinky hair in a ribbon. She looks at her attire. Black coat, black dress and black boots. Simple.

She turns to look at her sister who was wearing the same thing. Her sister hands her the box that she got from under Alex's pillow. She takes it slow and cautiously. Janis watched as Alex ran her hands on the green decorations on the box. It was beautiful neither could doubt that but it was what was inside that mattered most.

As she opens the box, unfolds the silky red cloth. 2 swords are revealed. Alex takes hers with the purple sash and straps it to her waist. She watches as Janis does the same. Okay ready. Alex said.

Alright let's get this portal show started." Janis said. Climbing out her window. Since they were kids they were always sneaking out. But when Alex was moved upstairs they had to magic their way down to the ground. While Janis went to magic school and learned all that fancy stuff, Alex didn't. So she improvised. She only learned the basic elemental magic from herself and her friends. Come on Alex! Janis whispers impatiently. Bossy Alex thinks before closing her eyes and focusing. Now that Janis had taken her magic exam her magic could be tracked. That was the whole reason for the law. Dni'w Alex mutters. Janis watches as their swords ribbons light up becoming a pure ribbon of dim light. As she opens her eyes she watches as leaves and sticks make a pair of stairs in front of the window. She smiled to herself congratulating herself for a good job done. Janis was impressed though she wouldn't say it. Both of the girls smiled at each other and turned back to the stairs. They took each other's hands and stepped out on the earth made stairs. As they reached the last stair a bunny sat at the bottom. Janis blushes and holds the bunny in her arms, pressing her nose in it's fur. Alex knew it was a present from her crush/boyfriend. As their feet hit the ground, Alex looks up at the night sky. The Stars and moon shine down on the tree's and the path they usually take to The Library.

The library was of course a library. But instead of it being full of books on plants and history. It was all about magic and not only did they have books but animals and creatures that they took care of. There were only 8 kids who knew about The library. Obviously, Janis, Alexandria, Zach And Zean. but also dean, blue, Amber and Ember.

As the path that Alex and Janis had been walking on ended. Alex whispers a reveal spell. And like a window being drawn open or a door opening. There stood The Library, Alex watched as Janis traced her fingers over the spiral pillars and the markings that their father had made 20 years before. Father. "No no no. Don't dwell on things of the past." Alex whispers to herself.

Alex walks up to the big marble steps and one foot after the other she forgot about the pst. As she reaches the top, she glances behind her to her sister. Stop admiring the decor and let's go. She yells her coat danign behind her as she turned back to the gigantic doors. Janis signs obviously said that her sister was always in a rush. She ran up the stairs until she was beside Alexandria. And with that both girls opened the door and walked into The Library.

Janis a voice yells from above the girls. Janis hooks up to see no other than Blue. Alex on the other hands rolls her eyes and starts to walk toward the big body of water in the middle of the library. Blue! Janis yells running up the stairs, kissing Blue when she gets to the top. She pulled away from the kiss and looked at the boy in front of her. She ran a hand through Blue's Blue hair and looked at his pale skin. Most people in the town thought that Blue was weird because of his pale skin and his scrawny overalls and knowledge in plants but Janis found him extraordinary. He couldn't do magic but he was an excellent teacher and fighter and Janis's first friend and lover.
