"Hi, Mrs. Jincens. How are you today?" Alexandria ask as she approaches the first booth looking down at her list. "Oh hey, Alex. I'm okay." The woman with blue eyes and black hair as dark as night replied. I have the red apples that your mother asked for. Alexandria watched as Mrs. Jincens pulled out a basket of apples.

"Thank you." Alexandria replied courtly.

"Your welcome." says waving goodbye to her as she went to the next booth.

And that's how Alex went through out the village. Even though she had to wear a mask most people weren't scared of her. most were kind and polite, some were curious, others were just intimated by her. She had gotten used to it, she had been doing this for 5 years now.

But as she passed through her 7th place on the list she couldn't help but hear a crowd. "What was it now?" Alexandria thought. I haven't had any trouble this whole day. Guess today isn't my today. She was right it wasn't her day but it was going to be her night. As she tried to move past the crowd, she tucks on her hood. Just as she thinks she's clear the crowd. A horse appears in front of her knocking her down. She places her hand in front of her mask to help it from falling down as a soldier rushes over to help her.

"Oh my, Are you okay girl?" He ask putting a hand on her back and lifting her off the ground slowly and politely. She looks over at him and whispers a "Thank you." The soldier turns to the crowd and yells "Who's horse is this?"

She turns to tell him it's okay and that it was probably an accident but just as she was about to something weird happened. The prince walked over and asked the solider what was wrong. No not a soldier. general Alexandria thinks. Oh no. Oh no no no. "You told the soldiers to tie the horse properly and apparently somebody didn't. This poor girl almost got knocked down."

Alexandria curses herself for not being more careful. "Are you okay miss?" the general and the prince ask. In instinct she grabs her hood and pulls it down further over her face. She looked at her feet as if they were the most interesting thing ever, even though they were not. "Ye-Yes your grace. Thank you." She whispers stumbling over her words.

Just as she answers a tomato flies through the crowd and lands at the prince's feet. Okay time to leave now Alexandria says to herself knowing this was about to turn into a disaster. I wont tell mother about this she decides but just as she was about to leave behind a dark alley. The prince grabs her hand and looks at her with concerned eyes while the crowd behind him yells and cheers at the same time. "Are you sure your okay?" he whispers.

Though Alexandria didn't know it, the prince was quite intrigued with her. A general in his army had told him about a daughter who was forced to wear a mask because of a deed he shouldn't have done. He was sure she looked like him, well what he thinks she looks like.

"Yes I'm fine your grace. Just a bit rattled. Thank you for your concern" she whispers pulling her hood up a little. He looked in her brown eyes and felt stunned. For a reason not known to him he let go of her wrist more in pure shock and lees in politeness.

As she goes to the last vender on her list she pears behind her to the prince. And recognized him. Prince Sean. She watched as his blue eyes locked onto hers right away, his hair swooping in the light breeze and his sword loosely by his side. I wonder why he's here? She wonders. And in the moment he smiles. She couldn't help but blush at that and He knew what he was doing to her. he straitened out his back and cleared his throat and turned back to the crowd. her mother's voice pops in her head and says home NOW. And with that she grabbed the bread and meat, placed it in her bag and was on her way home.

But just as she wondered what he was doing in a small village like hers. He also wondered why she was there. A kind girl in the midst of chaos.

As Alexandria opened the door to the house, she couldn't help but feel that the prince was still there. Smiling an irresistible smile. No he's playing you. You don't even know him calm down. She thinks putting the basket and bag of food and supplies on the table. As she unties the money sashes from her waist her sister busts through the door with a giddy smile and a giddy laugh.

Oh Alex you wont believe it. I actually passed, just like you said I would. Janis said wrapping her arms around her sister's neck. Congratulations, now you can spend more time with me than with those magic books. Alex jokes.

Janis laughs echo's through the house and ask where mother was.

I don't know 'Jan', I just got home. Alex says using her nickname.

Okay are you going back to the market? they said that the prince was-"

Just as Janis mentions the prince Alex places her hands on her sister's mouth. Don't say anything about the prince unless mom isn't here. Okay? Alex says. The sister raises an eyebrow and nods her head in curiosity.

As Alex takes her hands off of Janis mouth. Janis goes through the house looking for mom. When there's no sign that there's no one else home, she knocks onto Alex's door.

Come in." Alexandria says. As Janis comes through the door, she finds Alex holding a pillow to her face blush covering her ears and nose. Whoa Alex! What happened to you? Your blushing like crazy. And indeed she was, she couldn't stop thinking about the prince's smile. As Janis closes the door and sits on the bed. Alex tells her about what happened at the market. The horse, the soldier, and most importantly the prince. "Aww," Janis says after she get's done with her story. "Promise me you wont tell mom." Alex says taking both of her sister's hands and holding them to her heart. This was there way of promising. Some kids swore on there parents, some kids did pinky swear, but these two weren't that extreme. They just held hands and promised each other and though it seemed foolish it was enough for them.

"I promise." Janis says wrapping her arms around Alexandria's neck and laying down in the bed. hey are you going back to the library? Janis whispers. Maybe Alex jokes. Why do you want to see your little crush tonight?

Janis blushed and pushed her sister away sitting up. yes maybe I would like to see him. it's been quite some time since we've talked. She says sitting up straighter, folding her arms over her chest. When you mean talk do you mean kissing or saying actual words? Alex teases just as the front door opens. Both of the girls go quiet as their mother yell for Janis. We'll talk later Janis says squeezing's her hands. Janis Alex says as her sister reaches the door.

Yeah? her sister's says spinning around her hand on the door knob. We should do this more often. Alex whispers fumbling with her fingers. I know, I'll be back.
