Weeks pass, turning into months.

Jimin and Jiae spends christmas with Jackie at the café. Yoongi, Jungkook, Micha and Jungkook's father stop by for some freshly baked gingerbread, generously decorated by Jiae and Taehyung and Hoseok stop by during the day, too, before going home to their families.

It's not the same as when Jimin's mother was alive, but it's perfect in it's own way.

Jimin had gotten a lot better by then. He makes much more money and had gradually started building himself up. He owned his own clothes, at least some, and has come a long way in saving up for a new phone.

Around this time Jimin told Yoongi and Jungkook about his family. He told them separately, and Jimin have never seen a person cry as much as Yoongi did nor get as angry as Jungkook was.

It was a weight being lifted off of Jimin's shoulders nonetheless, and it helped him realize that all of that really is in the past and that he can't change it but he can choose leave it there.

New year new me, they say.

Jimin has never believed in that. It's just a change in numbers and if you think that your whole life is going to change overnight you're delusional.

This year is different.

Everything changed overnight.

"Have fun, Jimin-ah,"
Micha smiles as Jimin is about to leave.

"Thank you, mrs. Yeun, I will. Have a good night, and happy new year,"
Jimin says before kissing his sisters cheek,
"Bye, sis."

Jimin leaves the apartment building with a smile, quickly texting Jungkook and Taehyung back that he'll be there in five.

The sun is already about to set and the sky is a beautiful light orange, reflecting in the snow that covers some parts of the city.

It's cold, but really beautiful.

Jimin hears the noise from Yoongi and Jungkook's apartment from the first floor and smiles to himself.

All his friends have become really close and it wasn't really a discussion about spending the new years together.

An already tipsy Seokjin opens the door for him, pulling Jimin into the tightest hug he has ever experienced as he loudly calls out to the others that Jimin is here, as if they didn't already know by his annoying door bell ringing.

"Jiminie!"
Hoseok exclaims, opening his arms for a hug.

"Hey, guys,"
Jimin laughs, scrunching his nose up as Hoseok kisses his cheek sloppily.

"Jimin-ah, you are not drunk enough,"
Yoongi declares filling a glass of some light pink liquid from a bottle and shoving it into his hand.

"Thanks, Yoongs,"
Jimin says, and Yoongi groans.

"Don't call me Yoongs,"
He whines,
"It's hyung."

Jimin giggles, jumping when his wrist is being grabbed and he's dragged out of Hoseok's loose side-hug by Jungkook.

"Jimin,"
The taller says with a bunny-like grin,
"You have to see this."
