hey loves! this is my first time writing a wattpad story, so i'm open to any form of criticism that can help me blossom as a writer. as you can already tell, i'm a huge arctic monkeys fan. i'm not too familiar with the movie 10 things i hate about you, but i've only watched it twice. i still love it, though.
shortly after the second time i watched the movie, i had a dream highlighting a potential relationship between kat stratford and alex turner. prior to that dream, the thought of them together hadn't ever crossed my mind. (one's fiction, the other is a real person!) the way it played out was way too good for me to keep within, resulting in the story that you're about to read!
the story takes place in an alternate universe. kat is 3 years younger than alex, making her born in 1989. patrick verona doesn't exist in this version, (sorry core ttihay fans!) but everything else from the movie is canon. the story is slightly based on the relationship of alexa chung and alex turner, as well as their brief romance in 2014. most of the ideas are mine, though. the flashback takes place in 2007-08, and the story itself takes place in 2013 during the arctic monkey's AM era.
i am just going to warn you all that there is some sexual and mature content throughout the book. please read at your own risk!
