Our clothes and shoes were scattered throughout the interior of the car. We were damp with sweat. The windows had been completely fogged up from our heavy breathing. We were still panting from the intense session we had just experienced. There were hickeys dispersed throughout my neck and chest areas, and Alex had smears of dark red lipstick all over his face and neck. Our lips were swollen and bruised. He was such a good kisser. The music had stopped playing, and the air was filled with our sweet silence. Our eyes were shut, as we rested and enjoyed each other's company.

He had one hand on my back, and the other fidgeting with my curls, which were now let loose from the messy ponytail they were once in. His quiff was now unraveled in the form of messy bangs sticking to his forehead.

I gently opened my eyes and sat my chin on his chest. There he was, his face just barely an inch away from mine.

"Al?" I whispered. I cupped a hand around his face and gave him a peck.

"Mmm?" he opened an eye in response.

"I love you."

A smile slowly formed on his face. Alex leaned forward and kissed my forehead.

"Darling, you already know my answer to that. I love you more."

I felt him stroking my back. I had to prepare myself for what I was about to say to him.

"Al. I wanna be with you."

He immediately retained his posture in response. "Sorry?"

"I wanna be yours." I said, before I realized that was literally the name of the last track playing from the album.

Alex pressed his lips against mine, resulting in a tender kiss, which lasted around 2 minutes. Afterwards, I noticed his eyes; they were adorned with sadness. His smile appeared solemn. I became slightly tense.

"Alex? What's going on?" I said as my voice began to quiver.

He tucked a couple of strands of hair behind my ear. He sighed heavily.

"Kat, I love you so much. I just don't know what to say. It's all so unclear right now."

I was taken aback by his response. I realized that didn't want us to think about the definite nature of our relationship immediately. I gently shook my head and wrapped my arm around Alex's torso. "Don't worry about it then. I'm just really happy we've intertwined again. I just want to savour the moment with you."

Alex's mouth slowly formed back into a smile.

"Listen. I'm actually here for at least another week before we have to leave again for the tour. Would you like to spend it with me? We can make the most out of our time together and I can also acquaint you with the lads."

I looked at at him endearingly. My father was already away on a three-week long medical conference, so it was perfect timing.

"I'd like that a lot. I need a break from reality," I responded.

Alex leaned over and kissed me innocently, a stark contrast from how he did moments earlier. The moon, gleaming through the car window, shined directly on us. It was as if I was at the ending of a perfect romantic movie. Except our end was unclear.
