F O U R T E E N

CHAPTER FOURTEEN,
Midnight Snack.

"OLLIE, PLEASE TELL ME WHY YOU WOKE ME UP IN THE MIDDLE OF THE NIGHT AND TOOK ME INTO THE WOODS." Aurora sighed as her brown haired companion continued to pull her through the wooded trail behind her house. "You're not going to kill me are you?"

Oliver let out a laugh and shook his head at her. "Of course not love, I'm saving that for the second date."

"Wait." Aurora suddenly pulled them both to a stop. "This is our first date?"

Oliver had woken her up at exactly twelve at night, telling her to throw on a swimsuit and a hoodie before dragging her through the woods with no explanation.

"Yup, it will make more sense when we get there." Oliver nodded before he started directing her to their destination once more.

Five minutes later Oliver swung around and got behind her before covering her eyes with his hands.

"Sorry doll, it's a surprise."

He led her a few more steps before suddenly stopping and taking his hands off of her eyes only to wrap them around her waist.

Aurora let out a gasp as she took in the sight, in font of them stood a large lake of some sort, the water was so clear that the stars from the night sky were reflecting off it. Along the nearby trees there were fairy lights strung up and in between two beautiful oak trees there was a small fort made of blankets and pillows and a basket of what seemed to be snacks.

It was clear that he had help setting it up and tears started to prick her eyes as she realized he had went through all that trouble just for her. It was the sweetest thing anyone has ever done for her.

"Oh you don't like it do you? You're quiet so you must hate it. I knew-" before he could finish Aurora quickly turned around in his arms and pecked his lips several times.

"Oh you stupid quidditch obsessed fool, of course I love it! This is the sweetest thing ever." She smiled brightly as she connected her eyes with his happy chocolate brown ones.

His eyes lit up with excitement as he took in her words, she liked it.

"Well I'm glad you like it doll, but last one to the water has to tell Nate what WAP really means!" Oliver suddenly exclaimed as he threw off his shirt and darted towards the lake.

"Hey that's not fair!" Rory yelled as she threw off her hoodie and quickly ran after him.

Oliver must have underestimated her speed as he yelled out in victory right before he made it to the edge only to have Rory jump on his back, forcing the two to go down at the same time.

"Cheater."

"Quidditch obsessed fool."

"You love my quidditch obsession."

"You love my cheatingness."

"Darling that's not a word."

"No one asked you." And with that said she jumped on his head, forcing it under water as she started to laugh at him.

The two spent an hour splashing each other and laughing as they pretended to be water benders.

"You ready to get out love? I brought food." Oliver asked as he started to swim towards the fort.

Rorys eyes grew wide as the sound of food and she quickly swam past him and over to the large picnic basket sitting in the fort.

"Hungry?" Oliver laughed as he handed her a towel.

"Midnight snacks are my religion." Aurora told him seriously, jumping up and down in excitement as he opened up the basket to reveal some of her favorite foods.

"Oliver?" She suddenly asked as she flopped down next to him in the fort.

"Yea?" Oliver asked as he picked up a bag of chips and handed it to her.

"Thank you for this, this night has been amazing." She gave him a large smile, which he returned, before sticking a chip in her mouth.

"I'm glad you like it, I had a lot of fun." Oliver agreed.

The two joked around and ate for a few hours, eventually laying back into each other's arms as they looked up at the night sky above.

"Hey Rory?" Oliver suddenly asked, breaking the silence that had settled on them a few moments before.

"Yea Ollie?" She answered, the tiredness clear in her voice as she snuggled up closer into his side.

"Will you go on a second date with me?"

"I'd love nothing more."

And with a large goofy smile on his face Oliver leaned over, placing a kiss on her forehead before dozing off to sleep himself.
