-Bruce-

It was eleven in the morning and I had already sent Dick of on a mission to Blüdhaven. By the seriousness of the mission it could be a month before he returned. Three weeks to say the least. It leaves me no choice but to have Tim stay at Mount Justice since it meant he would have to take over Nightwing's duties. Damien was staying. He makes enough trouble to make me want to keep a sharp eye on him.

There was a soft nock on my study door and without looking up from the tremendious stack of paper work I said,"Come in."

The door creacked open and I had this feeling to look up. Barbra was standing in the doorway looking nervious and for once before me properly clothed. I noticed that she had tried to conseal the after effects of a night spent crying.

"Goodmorning Barbra. To what do I ow the plesure?" I set my pen down and stood up from my desk. I went to stand infront of it and leaned onto it.

She fingerd the doorframe,"I just wanted to apoligise about...last night."

I shrugged showing that no apoligy was needed. "I have sent Dick and Tim to visit distant family for Christmas. Damien insists he stays so you would have some company." I lied changing the subject to stop her from thinking about last night's incedant.

"I was wondering if you had something I could do...I don't really have anything in mind." Barbra asked finally looking up from the ground.

"What is it you usually like to do?"

She shrugged,"Not much... reading I geuss."

"There's a library down stairs. Its next to the downstairs study."

    Barbra's jaw dropped,"Y.you have a library?"

I smiled before leading her out of the room and towards the library.

-Barbra-

It was magnificently huge. There were exstravagent lounges were you could sit and read, expensive wooden desks with coushioned chairs and then there was the walls...

From floor to ceiling, two levels were covered in shelves of books. A gorgeous staircase swirled to the second level. I couln't stop the gasp that left me. Why have I never known of this. I looked at Bruce whom was still standing in the doorway

"This is... wow..." I couldn't finnish the sentence. I turned on the spot.

"I'll have Alfred come check up on you..."Bruce turned around but before he could dissapear I thanked him. He had given me one of his rare smiles before leaving.

I immediately ran to the nearest shelf.

I had only lift my head from my book when Alfrrd had brought me some of his freshly baked chocolate cookies. Not to long after I had my nose buried in a book again. I was sprawled on my stomach on the lounge when Bruce, serprisingly, paid a visit.

"You've been busy..."he said and I looked up to find that he had walked over to the desk I used to stack the books I wanted to read.
