"Oh EM GEE, Owen did you hear?" Milo asked me
"Hear what?" I asked
"So I was in the mail room sorting shit and I heard from Nancy that her Boss heard from his boss. That the big daddy of bosses just got divorced" Milo said happily
"Um why do you sound so happy about about that?" I asked
"Well for one the guy is hot. I'm talking silver fox smoking hot. The kind of man that will make me drop my panties of he so much as breathed in my direction, He was featured in one of New York's biggest business magazines. Let's just say I had more than a few O moments while looking at his pictures." He laughed
"Please stop. I don't need that imagery in my head" I laughed
"He's like huge daddy material and now he's single. But sadly my sources say he's taking an extended vacation so who know's how long he'll be gone, I'll just have to wait for my future daddy to return to me" He sighed dramatically
Milo has been working along side me for 3 weeks and for most of those days, I've spent the night his place. I still can't face Anthony after everything I heard him say.
Just looking at a photo of him is enough to have me crying. If I actually saw him I'll be a wreck.
Since Nathan lives with Milo, he's been able to tell me Anthony's schedule so I'm able to go in and out of the apartment without bumping into him.
"So is there any other office Gossip I should know about ?" I asked while editing a legal disposition.
"Yes Chloe and her assistant James got caught fucking in the 3rd floor bathroom, Janet and her boyfriend broke up for the 2nd time this week and Ernest got fired for leaking private information about a client to the clients Soon to be ex husband. Apparently Ernest and the soon to be ex husband were lovers and that's the reason for the divorce " Milo informed me
"They fuck? How do you know this?" I asked
"Because I'm a nosy bitch. But since Ernest is fired and he's kind of the head lawyer of our cases, we're basically without work until his replacement comes in, So I did a thing" he said with a semi evil grin
"Oh god what did you do? Please tell me it's not another one of those goat yoga weekend retreats. Going one time was enough for me. One of the goats literally tried to break my spine in half because it kept jumping on me" I replied
"Relax. I told HR how we have no work because all of our cases are basically compromised due to Ernest and we demand to still be paid. He emailed big daddy boss and I managed to convince them to give us 2 weeks paid leave without taking away from our sick days and vacation days" Milo said while shimming his shoulders.
"how the hell did you manage that?" I asked while closing my laptop.
"I have my ways. Also I used my last name. I'm kind of a big deal on the business world?"
