I had it all set up, my crush and long time friend Y/n was coming over for a picnic I had planned for just us. I would finally tell her my feelings for her, she was amazing. I had told her to meet me on a hill under a maple tree(so basic good job author) where I had everything set everything up at 5:00 just in time for the sunset.
  I look across the field and I see Y/n walking up to where I was, she waves to me and starts jogging up the hill.

  "Hey Karl!" She says getting to the top and smiling at me.
"Hey!" I smile and we both go in for a hug.
  "Ooh this looks amazing, did you do it all yourself?" She asks as we sit down on the blanket.
"Yeah I did, I'm just cool like that ya know." I laugh and hand her a sandwich I made her favorite (choose).
  I see her unwrap it from the napkin and take a bite, she smiles and her eyes go wide covering her mouth while chewing.

  "Holy fuck this is good, are you a women too?" She asks me and we both burst out into laughter.
"Nope, I told you I'm just cool." I start eating my sandwich also and we talk about YouTube, Inside jokes, stuff that made me like her even more.

She looks out to the sunset and it really shows how beautiful she is, yes it shows her acne, her loose hair, her chapped lips from the wind but it doesn't matter! She was still amazing, still beautiful, and still the girl I had fallen in love with, all her "flaws" just add to it.
  "It's beautiful." She says, the sun going under the clouds giving the sky pink, orange and red tones.
"Yeah...reminds me of you." I somehow grew balls and said it loud enough for her to hear me.
  "O-oh...no stop I'm not." She covers her face with her hand and I grab it, moving it away from her face.

"But you are! Inside and out and that's whole reason I fell in love with you Y/n!" I move her hair behind her ear as her cheeks turn bright red, her E/c going wide in shock.
  "Karl..." She says, smiling.
"I don't care if you don't feel the same way, it's whatever I can't force that onto you but I just wanted to let you know how I feel." I start to get scared, my anxiety comes over me and I don't even make eye contact with her.

Suddenly a hand is placed on my cheek and I see Y/n leaning into me.
  "I feel the same way about you, when you told me about this picnic with just us...I honestly was so scared but now..." She doesn't finish her sentence as she places her soft lips onto mine, I rest my hands on her sides.
  It was short but passionate and I loved it, we break away and realize the sun is almost completely down.
I stand up along with her and she looks at me smirking.

"Um Y/n?" I scratch the back of neck and she giggles.
  "So...wanna be my boyfriend?" She asks suddenly and I felt happiness consume me.
"Yes!" I laugh and hug her, as I see the moon slowly coming up from the other side.
  "Cool."
"Cool."
