chapter two {i am now a frosted treat}

Qibli watched as moon ran out of the room, slowly the rest of the class drifted away murmuring and whispering. I chuckled and set winter and icicle free. Icicle abruptly punched me. Right in the jaw too, I touched my jaw and chuckled "Cold jack frost but I guess I deserved it. " I shrugged. Winter rolled his eyes and said to me harshly " you're such an idiot, next time try not to get in my way." I put out a pouty lip and said in a complaining voice

"Sorry , I just had to stop your sister from beating moon up when she hadn't done anything," Winter growled, spun around and left the class to find his sister who had departed long ago. I had the slightest hint of a smile and walked off to my next class.

I was stopped 10 minutes before class by some girls, one yelled at me saying

" qibli! Stop! I just wanna talk for a minute." I turned and wished I hadn't, it was the triplets, burn,blister and blaze. They, like a lot of students, thought I was the 'popular boy' and I guess in a sense I was but I really didn't need girls trailing me on my first day. They were all a year older than me, sophomores. Blaze was really flirty and 'hot' in a lot of people's opinion, she was also really stuck up and popular.. Not the smartest kid too. Burn was kinda the local bully but like blaze she was considered 'hot' and she was not the brightest but much stronger than her siblings also she was born first. Blister she was the middle triplet and the responsible one, however she was manipulative and always played favorites with the teachers, she was the worst kind of teachers pet. I sighed I didn't have time for blaze or any of her crazy sisters. I went to turn away but blaze grabbed my shoulder and that looked pretty funny considering I was much taller than her and said " wait! Stay for one second!" she begged. I yanked my arm away and replied with a quick but polite " no, i half to get to class, maybe later we can talk" her face crumpled and for a millisecond i felt bad but i walked away trying to find my gym class.

I Trudged into the gym and took in the students that were there, icicle, winter, turtle, peril, sora and a few other kids not from my classroom, riptide and glory. I placed my bag on a bench and waited for coach Hutivrth to start class, he did so by yelling loudly " COM'ON CUPCAKES line up!" I shrugged at being called a frosty treat and went to stand on a line painted on the gym's floor. Coach Hutivrth looked us up and down, huffed like he could work with this and barked. "Five laps around the gym!" I took off. Now I'm pretty darn fast and I have great stamina but peril zoomed ahead of everyone. She was done three laps before most students were done one, now I managed to keep up a bit only falling 3-5 meters behind her but that was better than most people were doing. I saw her chatting things up with glory and this confused me a bit. I mean glory and peril at least from my view weren't great friends but I shrugged it off and ran on. Peril saw me and zoomed at full speed once more. When we finished our laps coach Hutivrth lined us up in order of when we finished it went like this. Peril, Me/qibli, icicle, winter, glory, riptide, sora and last turtle, but he didn't seem sad about it. I guess he just expected it. Then we did this thing called 10-50 and it looked like a few students were regretting not ditching class. See 10-50 went like this. 10 push ups, 20 high knees, 30 jumping jacks, 40 squats and 50 sit-ups then back down then back down then back up as many times as you could go before the coach decided you were done "GET MOVING CUPCAKES'' coach said as he blew his whistle. I thought how when this was all over I was going to steal the coaches whistle and replace it with a printed pic of a whistle. 1-2-3-4 went my head as i did the ten push ups i saw a few students like riptide and turtle doing fake pushups, but peril winter icicle and myself were putting in 100% effort into each exercise. 12-13-14-15-16. I counted as I did high knees. Then I was on my fourth time back up the ladder when coach Hutivrth blew his whistle, you could tell who was athletically trained. Though Glory was a non-winy student she was still panting when coach Hutivrth blew the whistle and sometimes failed in good form, now sora and turtle were just lying on the ground and riptide looked like he was just about to do that too. I huffed out of breath and the smallest bit sore but I guess stealing my way through life till i was nine made me an athlete. Apparently we were not done. When coach Hutivrth said "get up cupcakes we still have one more period!" I groaned internally but asides from peril I was the only one who kept my complaint internal. Coach Hutivrth blew the whistle yelling, "CUPCAKES! I don't care if you're melting! Get one of these belts on and attach two flags on either side, HANDS off your flags no blocking!". I slantered my way over to the bin coach was indicating towards, strapped one on, I grinned and got two yellow flags and like the true kindergartner that i am i looked winter straight in the eyes as he was attaching two blue flags and simply stuck my tongue out at him and made a noise. Any noise. Then coach Hutivrth blew his whistle and the game started. I dashed around the gym jumping, jabbing and grabbing flags slapping them on my belt and defending my own flags from being taken with evasive maneuvers and running. Very swiftly away. Winter was the only one I hadn't stolen a flag from and by now I had basically a hula skirt of flags and nobody dared attack me. Instead they were going at each other. Winter was distracted trying to take sora's last flag when I zoomed up behind him, grabbed his flag and listened to the satisfying *zzipp* I flashed back as winter wiped around and almost snarled. I checked my back, nothing behind me. I waved winter's flag teasingly, adding it to my own belt and running off. I snorted when I saw winter's face as the coach blew the whistle and announced me the winner. He dismissed us and we headed to the changing room. I put some simple deodorant on, grabbed my bag and walked out wondering if the girl called moon would be in any of my next classes.
