Chapter 4-Unexpected news

The crossover is here, like promised. Hope you guys like it and suggestions for future stories always welcomed,  anyways enjoy. Also quick note I don't read the comics so my solution to the problem is really far-fetched (or at least I think it is, I honestly have no idea) Sorry.

Earth-1, Star Labs

Barry looked down at his watch, Kara and the Legends still hadn't arrived. Team arrow, the only ones without time ships and supers-peed, were the only people actually on time.

"How can they be late if they can time travel?" Felicity asks, taking a champagne glass from Oliver. Oliver shakes his head actually smiling.

"How can Barry have super speed and still never show up on time." Sara retorts walking into the room with the rest of the legends. Oliver laughed and moved to hug his old friend.

"Sara makes a good point Barry." Ray adds in his overly cheery tone.

"Well you guys are still late." Barry teases, before hugging his time-traveling friends.

"Where's Skirt." Mick grumbles, sipping his beer. "If she's not here we're not the late ones." Sara rolled her eyes. Wally hugs Barry and then runs over to Joe and Iris.

"You have to give Kara a break Mick, she's on another earth." Nate laughs as Zari nods in agreement. "She'll get here eventually." All they got in return was a grunt from Mick and then he turned and walked away to get another beer.

"Don't mind him." Ray cuts in. "He didn't want to leave Aruba."

"You guys were in Aruba?" Oliver asks, raising an eyebrow.

"And that's why we're late." Sara admits, taking a sip of her own beer. "So is it just Kara coming or is it Alex too?"

"She said might bring Alex." Cisco says, entering their conversation. "Still, I'm surprised Kara is late, I mean she was so excited when I told her about it." Caitlin walks up beside her friend and is about to say something when a blue breach appears in the doorway.

"There's Kara now." Caitlin smiles as everyone turns their attention to the breach waiting for their alien friend.

"Still never going to get used to this." Dig mumbles. A long moment passes and no one walks through the breach, Barry glances at Cisco and he shakes his head. Everyone is confused. "Is this supposed to happen?" Dig questions, looking to Oliver.

"I don't know, I mean-" Cisco stops as someone steps out of the breach and it closes behind her.

Sara grinned at Alex and Barry called out her name in a cheerful tone, but when Alex looked up every hero in the room paused. They knew that look, that look meant something was wrong. It didn't take anyone long to notice that Kara wasn't with Alex and that only made the room more nervous. Sara walked up to Alex and gave her a hug, then she looked at the brunette and saw the pain in her eyes. Barry and Oliver stepped closer to Alex and Sara.

"Alex?" Oliver cautiously began. "Where's Kara?" Alex looked up, her face grim. Sara placed her hand on Alex's good shoulder. Everyone waited, hoping that maybe just maybe Kara was okay but just too injured to travel by breach. Everyone stood still, looking over Alex and all her injuries. Alex opened her mouth and shut it as if she couldn't find her voice. The room remained silent and Alex scanned it, seeing at their worried faces, caused her to look at the floor and shake her head. How could she tell them.
