taehyungs POV

"yes i bought the fascinator you wanted. you owe me 200 dollars though." i spoke over the phone, as the lady at the checkout point was ringing up my things.

"taehyung if you bought the wrong colour, i aint paying you shit."  mother spoke back over the phone.

"i dont get it though, mom. youre coming out of englad, where they literally judge you every sunday based on the type of hat you wear to church. why dont you buy yourself a hat there?"

"does it look like i have time to go shopping for a hat?"

"the place you work at is literally across the road from a hat shop, mom"

"okay mr google maps, ooo look at the time, im gonna have to board my last exchange flight and ill be there in three hours. dont worry about picking me up from the airport, ill take a cab. your driving sucks."

i chuckled lightly over the phone.

"cant wait to see you mom. goodbye i love you."

i hung up the phone As i walked across the large parking lot of the grocery store, pushing a half full cart of groceries.

For some odd reason, i was feeling so excited about tonight! i havent seen my mother in so long and tonight, she was flying in from england to visit me and also attend my cousins wedding.

i got to my car and unloaded the groceries into the trunk. thereafter, i got into the car and drove home, thinking of what i was gonna make for supper.

Upon my arrival, i unpacked my things and started on dinner.

"hello jaemin!" i chimed, looking at the tiny barking ball of fluff running toward me, filled with joy and a yearning for attention.

i washed my hands and put on my apron, grabbing a knife to peel some onions.

While i was busy, i got an incoming face time call. struggling to keep my phones screen clean, i picked up the call and placed the phone in the window pane.

"hi hi hi~"

"hey jimin! hows it been?"

"hey no, its been great!"

jimin and i go wayyyyy back.we met at a funeral and as weird as that sounds, it was the best day of our lives.

*flashback*

i walked after the brass ensemble of sneeringpointy nosed men playing some depressing serenade behind the coffin of my great uncle Woosung, who has died of pancreatic cancer. shame, the poor soul.

"IM NOT READY!!!" shiela screamed, holding on to the coffin as the pallbearers set it onto the lowering device.

14 year old me stood next to my mother, watching this show as my mother shook her head in embarrassment.

"come on my flower, youre gonna break the-"

"NO!!! LEAVE ME!!!" she shouted, shoving the men away.

Becoming bored with my life, i started to do something that i found intriguing to me for a while.

"one roll of fat"
