Today was the day.
Izuku was barely holding back a howl of delight. Hitoshi was q u a k i n g. Everyone was filled to the brim with anticipation. Izuku held the briefcase with his hero costume a little tighter, taking a deep breath. He gazed at the Takoba National Stadium with a sense of awe. "Nervous?" asked Hitoshi, trying to hide his own inner panic with a small grin. Izuku managed a shaky smile. "Are we that obvious?" he asked the lilac haired teen. "YUP!" Ochako and Mina called out simultaneously. Izuku looked back at them scandalously. Hitoshi merely sighed, cracking another lazy smirk.
And then while Class 1-A was trying to get psyched up, some random Shiketsu student hijacked their "Plus Ultra!"
He was like Tenya in a way, but without the bookworm in the equation. The Shiketsu high cap stood proudly atop his shaven head (though he wasn't bald, Izuku saw some of his very flat hair along his scalp). His grin was infectious, almost like All Might's, and he radiated his over the top energy. At least, until his eyes landed on Shoto. Izuku thought it was because he was secretly a fanboy, but the look in his eyes suggested anything but. He sensed another backstory... which he was currently mentally unequipped to deal with.
Luckily, the other Shiketsu high students, including a ball of hair, a faulty Hitoshi duplicate, and a girl obsessed with modern day lingo, took their fellow classmate away and towards the stadium.
Apparently, his name was Inasa Yoarashi. He was one of the very few first years attempting the exam, and was also a former U.A. candidate, one of the recommended students even. That only screamed backstory further; Shoto and Momo were also recommended students. He could unpack all that later though, Hitsohi was tapping his shoulder for somethi- oh. Oh! Oh, poor Eraser... Ms. Joke was here, too, with her class in tow. Izuku had ran into her as Lost Cause exactly one time, when both of them were chasing after a late night purse snatcher. He also caught a glimpse of her at the Sports Festival in the stands. Oh man, Eraserhead was looking so uncomfortable right now. Hitoshi was sharing his teacher's sentiment.
The group heads towards the building after meeting Ms. Joke's students; Katsuki's personality does them no favors. When in Rome, do as the Romans do. Not whatever the hell you want because you're entitled.
Hitoshi is a nervous wreck throughout the entire orientation.
It was hard enough to get into the Hero Course. After getting his ass handed to him by that exchange student from the Sports Festival, he thought his chances of becoming a hero were dust. Then he gets approached by Eraserhead himself during internships, asking Hitoshi if he wanted to be taken under the Pro Hero's wing. Hitoshi wanted to scream like Present Mic so freaking bad, but like a respectable student, he barely managed to hold himself together while he accepted the offer.
The next few months were hell, but through it all, Hitoshi smiled,
Now he wondered if it was too late to take the exam during his second year. For crying out loud, the guy at the front making the announcements looked just as sleep deprived as Mr. Aizawa... and himself. Poor guy... Hitoshi felt someone rapidly tapping his shoulder. "Yo, Shinso!" Oh, it was the electric kid, Denki Kaminari if he remembered right. "The exam's starting!" Huh? When did the exam- WHY WERE THE WALLS FALLING DOWN!? Surely enough, the other classes began spreading out.
...and their throwing balls were heading right for Class 1-A.
"Hey hey, Eraser!" Ms Joke greeted, trying to start a conversation.
"Not now, Joke," he predictably refuted, "I'm trying to focus on the exam." Ms. Joke pouted. "Come ooooooon, Eraser! We haven't seen each other since forever! Well, since the Sports Festival... Same difference!" Eraserhead huffed, "Worry less about making relations and worry more about your students," he spat. He saw his mistake as Ms Joke began grinning. "Oh really , Eraser? If I should be more worried about my students, why aren't you worried about yours? You didn't even tell them about U.A. hunting...:"
