As soon as Jeff had left the main building. He was not only met with a lashing stream of wind.
But also a punch to the face.
Jeff stumbled backwards. "What the hell man!" he coughed out. He looked down slightly to be met with a 5'5 male. The male had black hair and blue eyes. "Ethan?" The boy nodded. "i was beginning to think you forgot about me Jeff."
Ethan was a friend of Jeff. They were never over close but Jeff had a feeling they would become closer now that they attend the same school. Ethan had a vibe of 'hey come talk to me!' Jeff never really paid Ethan much mind until now. Maybe they would become good friends.
The Duo of freshman college boys wandered the campus, not really looking for anything particular. "so how was the move?" Ethan asked the taller male. Jeff paused, looking for the words to use.
"It was fine, my parents are happy to have both kids out of the house. They got a more modern one, I didn't like the neighborhood. But I don't live there anymore, so as long as my parents are happy."
Ethan nodded. "How was your summer?" Ethan gave him a thumbs up. "Good, good" Ethan chuckled and nodded as they came inside the main dining hall. "Wanna grab something to eat?" Jeff nodded and the boys made their rounds. Ethan got a chicken salad and Jeff got a burger.
They made small take as they ate. "So, what's your room number?" Ethan asked looking up from his ranch drenched salad. Jeff looked back and forth between Ethan and his salad. "453" he replied.
"Hell yeah!" Ethan pulled his own keys out of his pocket and tossed it to Jeff.
They were roommates.
Jeff chuckled while Ethan gave a boyish grin.
The duo of boys soon spotted a couple girls going from table to table. Jeff recognized one of them to be the (H/C)-ette he spoke to earlier. She was walking but a copper haired girl who he didn't recognise.
Soon enough the two girls made it to the table Ethan and him were sitting at. "Hey!, Im Jenny and this is (Y/N). Were looking for somebody by the name of Jeffery Woods, have you seen him?" Ethan looked at Jeff curiously. He saw you elbow Jenny at mentioning her name. Jeff put his hands behind his head and leaned back in his chair. "Your talking to him." "Oh! really?" The copper haired girl, Jenny sounded exited to meet him. She was nodding quickly.
"What can i help you ladies with?" Jenny chuckled. "well my good friend (Y/N) here mentioned your name earlier." Jeff smirked. "Did she now?" Jenny nodded while you fiddled with your hands. You felt safer around Jenny when he came to Jeff. If anything happened she could be your witness.
"Well, since you lovely ladies introduced yourselves i think its our turn. Im Jeffery and this is Ethan." Ethan gave a quick wave with a small smile while Jeff returned his hands to his pockets.
Jenny nodded and invited herself to take a seat next to Ethan. You had to sit by Jeff, You didn't want to, something seems off about him. You make your way over and sit next to him, your entire body feeling tense.
They made small talk about the shit food the dining hall had to offer. "They make all the good food during the open houses, good impressions." You add in. They entire squad chuckled while you just had a small smile.
You glance over everyone while they laugh. Your eyes land on Jeff. his smile, his laugh they seemed off. Your didn't like it so you turned your attention back at the the other two, they were your only protection.
After the wheezing and coughing. Jenny stood up to go grab herself a drink. 'why did she have to leave me alone with these two?' you visibly tensed up. "Are you okay?" you snapped back to reality as Ethan asked you a question. You nodded. "Yeah, im fine."
Ethan nodded. "you seem kinda out of it." You nodded "Sorry." "don't apologize its all good." Ethan gave you a grin while Jeff just observed, unsure of what to do.
Jenny returned quicky with a smoothie in her hand. 'Nothing happened.' The small talk started up and you decided to use the bathroom. You stood up and excused yourself and walked across the dining floor to the women's restroom. You pushed the door open and stepped in. It looked like it was empty of any activity, Not that it made a major difference to you.
You walked over to the sinks. You looked in the large bathroom mirror, Staring at your own reflection. Eventually you turn the water to cold and splashed some on your face. It felt nice and it calmed your nerves. Jeff never gave you any reason to fear him, aside from the pet name he had given you but that is something you had to get used to.
But at the same time, you don't know anything about him.
You shook your head slightly at your own thoughts. you grabbed some of those crappy brown school paper towels. it took you about five sheets to finally be able to dry your face.
When you were done you made your way back to the group with a smile smile on your face. "Welcome back!" Jenny greeted with a smile on her face. "thanks." You smiled at her and went pack to listening to the smalltalk.
After about an hour Jenny and Ethan left to turn go get settled into their rooms leaving you with Jeff.
"so-" you started. "so?" Jeff replied. "I think i'm going to go to my room, i'm pretty tired from driving." Jeff nodded. "Goodnight Jeff-" "Night (Y/N)" And with that you left and walked upstairs to your room. you were too tired to unpack so you would do it later. Right now, all you wanted was a peaceful sleep.
