Deep Slumber

Hera Adriana's POV

Sa pagmulat ko ng mata ko alam kong maayos na ang lahat. Nagtagumpay kami.

I did it. Everything is normal now. At alam ko, na wala ng nakakaalala sa lahat ng nangyari bukod sa akin at sa mga naging kaibigan ko sa paglalakbay na ginawa namin.

We fought for the whole human race. We survived. At ang payapang buhay na mayroon kami ay dapat naming ipagpasalamat sa mga naging lunas.

Isabella.

I smiled brightly and stood up on my bed. This is the first time I opened my eyes, after everyone except the Soldiers, The Army, The Government and The Doctors went into our own deep slumber.

Hindi lamang si Isabella ang nakatulog. Lahat kami. At kahit hindi ako tumingin sa kalendaryo, alam kong dalawang taon na ang nakalipas.

It feels so surreal. The way they did it is almost like a magic. Parang walang nangyaring Zombie Outbreak, walang namatay, walang nasirang tahanan.

They really did what they promised. Our normal life is back.

Nagmamadali akong bumangon. I can't waste more time! Not after everything I've been through!

"Miss Hera! Bakit po kayo tumatakbo?" My maids scurried around and greeted me.

Pero hindi sila ang hanap ko!

"Where is my parents Butler Jake?" I asked. Seryoso ako at tinitigan sila na magalang na yumuyuko na para bang isa akong maharlikang sinasamba.

Royalty? In title no, but in my actions and everyone's eyes? Yes. I have the power. Because of money.

Kaya sila naninikluhod at pinagsisilbihan ako ay dahil sa pera. Wala ng iba pang dahilan. Money controls everything. Iyan ang gusto kong baguhin.

"Patawad Mistress Hera. Nagtatrabaho po ang magulang ninyo." Nakayukong sagot ng Butler ko. I rolled my eyes and sighed.

They mean, nagpapadami ng pera tsk. Napasulyap ako sa kalapit na Golden Vase. Sa sobrang kinis walang alikabok at malinaw kong nakikita ang aking mismong repleksiyon. Im still wearing my nighties.

"I'm going to change. Prepare the car. Aalis ako." I ordered the butler. Im sure they will handle the gate and my driver.

Hinanap ko agad yung cellphone ko. How do I know where? Ask my altered memory.

Yes. Altered.

That is the solution they came up with. How? It's still a mystery but science and technology is great. It can surpass limitations and make the unthinkable possible.

On everyone's memory, the Outbreak never happened. They changed the memory and made some plausible story. Something about Modular and Online Learning because of Corona Virus, implementing Quarantine Protocols and Lockdown.

During our two year sleep, they managed to magic everything back to normal. Na akala mo'y walang nasira, walang namatay, at walang kababalaghang nangyari.

I bet only a few people still had the knowledge. Everyone doesnt know what really happened. Lahat ay binigyan ng pekeng memorya at kaming mga tulog naman ay binigyan din ng ganung memorya ngunit hindi nila inalis ang memorya namin sa Zombie Outbreak. They just made a memory so we know how to react because everyone's memory is interconnected due to our presence socially.

One thing to do to confirm everything is call my friends and have a Meet-up. Well, to those who are near to me. Everyone is from different part of the Philippines.
