Delilah wished she could see the world through coloured glass to make it a brighter place but darkness overflowed her eyes even when they remained open. The twilight of her past and present felt never-ending as she stumbled down the steep stairs meeting eyes with her neighbour, work colleague and friend who was the only person (besides family) who knew of her current pregnancy.

Emily Prentiss.

She had known Prentiss since she had joined Interpol a few years ago. They became neighbours at that time instantly becoming quick friends. Delilah visited there once a week during her pregnancy and began to bond with Prentiss.

Whimpering, Delilah fell to her feet. Her blue eyes became shadows and her skin faint. Emily rushed to her knees to help Delilah's unborn child who had yet to see the brighter place that Delilah so desperately wanted to create for her. Emily's eyes, concerned and shocked, tried her best to save the child and her. However, Emily knew it was impossible to save both.

Intensely, she clutched her phone as she dialled 999 and requested an ambulance. The sound of the paramedics began to calm Emily causing her to settle her current panic and concentrate. Emily began to press firmly on Delilah's chest, her eyes squinting at the sight of her cold, pale skin and hoped to get a pulse. Minutes went by and she became more reluctant and fearful that she had met death. She could no longer restrain her tears or control her grief. Prentiss prayed for a saviour. Abruptly after, the paramedics rushed past her and attempted to revive Delilah.

Seconds after resuscitation begun , Prentiss exhaled heavily in relief of her friends slight pulse, her eyes staring in amazement and alleviation,

"Delilah Young. You were made to survive".

White lights pierced Delilah's tired eyes. She awoke startled by her flat stomach and the pain that possessed her body. "I'm so sorry I couldn't save her Delilah but I promise you I'm going to be here for you every step of the way" Emily Prentiss exclaimed with sorrow and guilt in her eyes.

"On the tox screen it came up that there was drugs in your system which caused you to miscarry. Has anything happened undercover recently that could suggest that this was your father?" she whispered with a raised brow.

She looked up at her friend with grief and anguish. All Delilah could do is nod her head in response.

Gripping her arm slightly Emily exhaled "I will get you out of here and out of this. I have a plan."

Weeks passed and she began to feel much better yet surprisingly ached for her child's presence. This was unexpected because on the other hand, Delilah knew this child would've been born into an abusive family (with the exception of herself). On some level she believed that maybe the child was better off where she couldn't be tortured by her father in the same ways she was.

This was due to her husband and the father of the child who had been shot days before now. Peter Young was another version of Elias Young (Delilah's father). Narcissistic, violent and incapable of caring for a child. That's why Delilah was forced to marry him but he just wanted to take the family name. They were the perfect team.

Until Elias figured out that he was trying to take his power and decided his death date had come early. Elias Young is one of the most infamous and extreme cult leaders in the world with many followers who view him as a god. It was named the 'Young Believers' by Elias himself. Delilah never understood her father or mothers activities and interest in creating something so violent. It appalled her.

Delilah never intended to have children as she felt her job was more important which was working for Interpol and giving them as much on her father's criminal activity as she could.

It began at the age of 18 when she ran away from the cult as she had witnessed him shooting her mother in cold blood. She was found soon after by her father and received a severe punishment from him. Ever since then without his knowledge, Delilah had been helping the police and Interpol find concrete evidence to make him receive the punishment he so rightly deserves. The only problem was finding the evidence which she had been unable to do as he was too crafty to make any missteps.

The apartment walls reeked of misery as Delilah entered the noiseless flat. The curtains stayed drawn and empty cups filled the living room table while the tv played the 4am advertisements. The insomnia was unbearable but the pain was too intolerable to sleep.

Disrupting the silence, a strong knock radiated through the door. Springing up, she unbolted the door cautiously with a heavy sigh. Emily Prentiss gave Delilah a concerned look as she opened the door with a blue face.

"Hey how are you holding up?" she inquired with a slight sigh.

" Stupid question" she stated as she held her head down.

" I can't stay here anymore" Delilah whispered quietly but enough for Emily to hear.

" I know you can't, that's why I'm transferring you to the BAU in Quantico, America... with your permission of course," she revealed with a slight grin.

"But what about.." began Delilah with a confused expression on her face.

Emily interrupted her " We will find someone else to deal with Elias. Your life is at risk. If you decide to take this job, a new identity will be created for you. Not even the BAU will know of your new identity. Delilah Young will be declared dead. This is your chance to escape him" she explained but this time a smile filled her face.

Thoughts raced through Delilah's head selecting the pros and cons.

She had never known a life out of London but she had never felt freedom. This was her only chance to get away. Get away from the man who had made her life miserable.

This was the only option.

Emily slowly sat beside her suggesting "I can give you some time to think about this but I need an answer by the end of the week."

Darting her eyes at her, Delilah instantly replied "Yes I-I want to go, I want a new Identity. I don't want to be Delilah Young anymore" she blurted out with a stutter and crack in her voice.

Emily sat beside her friend in agreement understanding from her own experiences.

"You leave tomorrow. Allison Gray."

For the first time in weeks a feeling of protection and comfort reigned over Delilah with the knowledge that she could break free from her fathers control.

Just as Prentiss was leaving, Delilah looked up at her gratefully "Thank you Emily."

"Anytime" she replied with a small grin.

The flight to Quantico was peaceful. This was the first time Delilah had been on a plane alone without the presence of the cult.

She sipped on whiskey out of nervousness for her arrival; thoughts bundled her mind. Would the team like her? Would they figure out who she really was? Delilah knew in the back of her mind that the BAU were too smart to not figure it out at some point.

After the lengthy flight, Delilah stretched her aching legs and for the first time in months she had slept. The whiskey caught up with her making her dizzy yet more conscious.

Emily had given her the address of her new apartment which had been paid for by Interpol due to her years of hard work. She yelled for a taxi outside the airport.

Rain soaked into her dark brunette hair; the stars above her shifting slightly in her presence.

With a whisper she told herself:

"Hello Allison Gray."
