Chapter 1:What the hell happened?

Chapter 1:

3:00P.M.

"I don't feel like studying for this math exam" Vanessa, one of my best friends, whined.

"Yeah me either" I replied equally annoyed.

"I don't know about you two, but I'm not going to study for it." Bella shrugged causally.

"Anyway guys I have to get home, good luck and see you tomorrow." I said and waved them goodbye. They waved back and I hurried to get home. It was pretty close to school, so it took only 10min to get there.

7:00P.M.

"Knock knock"

"Who's there?"

"Doris"

"Doris who?"

"Doris locked, that's why I knocked"

I laughed at my older sister Melissa's joke, she cracks me up. I opened the door, and there she was, she entered and practically jumped on my bed.

"So what's my favorite little beam of sunshine doing?" she asked enthusiastically.

"Math" I groaned.

"Oh want some help?" She asked concerned.

"No don't worry I'll be fine, thanks anyway."

"Ooookay, but remember the knock-knock joke vampire will strike again."

"You're so immature and you're the one in college"

"No one told me I have to give up the child in me, when I went to my interview"

"Suree whatever, now go child I must study"

"Good luck Amanda Panda"

"Thank you Melissa Carissa"

"School's ruining your creativity Amanda Propaganda"

"No fair your name doesn't rhyme with anything."

"Just go study math already"

12:00 A.M.

I heard a faint knock at my door and two people whispering

"Amanda, are you still studying?" My mum says entering my room.

"Yeah, I'm studying for that math test."

"You should've let me do my knock knock joke" Melissa whined childishly

"Go ahead and enlighten us, oh Amanda dear please be mature when you reach her age"

"Aye Aye captain" I laughed and saluted her, Melissa just huffed but started her joke anyways.

"Knock Knock"

"Who's there"

"Britney Spears"

"Britney Spears who"

"Knock Knock"

"Who's there" I sighed knowing the answer won't surprise me.

"Oops I did it again"

Mum chuckled lightly, but then she glanced at me and her face switched from calm to worried.

"Oh honey, it's getting late. Don't you think you should take a break?"

"Nah, it's fine. I'm almost done anyway"

"Well okay, but don't stay up late too long" She kisses my forehead and we exchange goodnights.

"Au revoir imbécile" My sister says.

"Right back at ya"

12:30 A.M.

I finally finish studying and get ready for bed. I brush my teeth and look at my reflection in the mirror; wow no wonder mum was worried, dark rings were starting to form under my eyes and my face was almost drained of all colour. I splash some coolwater on face to freshen up and I go back to my room.  I take my bottle of water out of my bag, and chug it down to the last core. I was THAT thirsty. Hmm...I suddenly feel dizzy, must be exhaustion, I better get to bed. As I took slow steps towards my bed I feel the room turning and my vision gets all blurry. I try to blink several times but my vision stays the same. I was two steps away from reaching my bed. As I took those last steps I lost my balance and fell down on the floor and very soon darkness enveloped me.

I get up to the sound of my mum crying and screaming. I got up from the floor and and rushed to see what's happening. I saw my dad holding her and fighting back his own tears. I wonder what happened I hurry to see what is causing this commotion. I saw Melissa crying her eyes out. Something was definitely wrong. I hurry to my mum's side and hug her but she doesn't react it's like I'm invisible, she doesn't feel my presence nor does she hear me. I see an ambulance parked in front of my house and paramedics rolling a stretcher out of the house and to my utter surprise they were carrying me in it. How is it that I'm standing right here and also lying in that stretcher almost...lifeless. Am I a ghost? Am I dead? No it can't be I have a math exam, I have so many dreams, so many goals to accomplish. I have my family, my friends. This isn't fair. Nothing's wrong with me, I can't, I couldn't have died. There must be something wrong. What the hell happened?
