Chapter5:(part 1) With her arrival we unite and with her departure we separate

Chapter 5

"Amandine Amandine"

I was awoken by a violent shaking of my shoulder. Usually I'd say it's my overly excited sister, but after yesterday I can only hope it's Malefica and Angelo. I opened my eyes, and just as I suspected, it was Malefica who had awoken me while Angelo was standing awkwardly by my bedside table.

"Finally! Come on you've got a funeral to attend to"

My funeral, I sighed internally. I got up and stretched. 

"I'm ready"

"Well then let's go" Angelo exclaimed clapping his hands together.

And soon we were transported into the scene of my funeral. It was just so sad. I saw everyone, from acquaintances to family. People I barely knew, relatives, friends, my best friends, dad's business partners, some of my mum's close friends, the entire school and my family were present.

"You've got quite a crowd there" Angelo said whistling, "You sure don't want us to stick around?"

"No it's fine, it's my funeral after all."

And as soon as I uttered these words, they disappeared.

I stood there watching as my friends and family gave their farewell speeches one after the other, each stuttering and tears threatening to spill. During the burial, I saw my friends crying, and my parents sobbing and cursing fate's cruelty. I was speechless; it was so heart-wrenching and sad. I couldn't quite describe this feeling within me. At the end of the funeral, everyone was already done expressing their condolences with pity in their eyes. I saw my friends gathered together discussing something, I approached them and was surprised by what they were saying.

"We can't stay friends, it just brings too many memories. I'm sorry" Vanessa confesses.

"I just can't stand this situation right now, I...We all need to find closure" Bella said.

"I don't think we should separate, our memories are the only thing that remain, we should keep them alive" Marilyn disagreed.

"I agree" Katy said.

"Well I don't know. Mathew what do you think?" Michael asked confused.

Mathew scratched his head and said, "I think Vanessa's right"

"Wait does this mean we're over? You're going to throw 10 years of friendship just like that" Katy asked frustrated.

"It might be the best decision for now Katy" Michael said.

"Remember who made us all friends in the first place?" Mathew trailed.

"We were in Kindergarten, Amanda had just moved to town and enrolled in our school, she was wearing a white dress and had a big smile on her face" Vanessa said smiling at the memory.

*flashback* (narrator's P.O.V.)

"Amanda Amanda over here"

"Amanda come sit with me"

Amanda was smiling at everyone, but she had glanced over a small group of people who weren't saying anything nor talking to each other. It was like they were sitting together without actually being together. She walked over to them and said.

"Hello, my name is Amanda, can I sit with you? You all seem such nice friends"

Everyone started looking at each other like the total strangers they were towards each other. One of them spoke up.

"We're not friends"

"Why not?"

"We don't know each other." Another one said.

"Well we can get to know each other and then we can all be friends"

They all looked at each other, and started nodding their heads.

"Yaay"

*flashback over*

"Have we all agreed?"

Everyone nodded except Marilyn and Katy.

"Mathew please reconsider." Marilyn pleaded.

"With her arrival we unite and with her departure we separate" and with that said Mathew left everyone.
