Chapter 6: Let's Get this show on the road

 

“A-a-amanda?”

“Yes Oh Gosh, you believe me!!”

It wasn’t until I cupped my face in my hands, that I realized that I wasn’t using my phone but instead speaking with my thoughts. I wonder what happened to the phone. I’ll check that later, I needed to talk to Melissa first.

(A/N: To clear out any confusions, Amanda is using her mind to speak with Melissa. Melissa is reading Amanda's thoughts through a text message and is replying back by talking out loud)

“If you ever drop out of college I will beat you up like a piñata  until you vomit every single sugary thing you’ve consumed your entire life.”

“It really is you”

“Yes Melissa Carissa, it’s me. You have no idea how much I miss you and I need to hug you right now, but I can’t. Heck you can’t even see me, and also when were you planning on telling me that I was adopted.”

“I missed you too” She murmured looking down. Wow she actually believed that I’m standing in front of her. Thank goodness, one down a few more to go.

“Don’t look down, I’m up here, and I’m glad you believe me” I decided to drop the adoption subject, and focused on convincing her of my existence even more. She looked up from her phone and asked.

“How are you talking to me?”

“It’s a long story, but to summarize it, try not to freak out at what I’m about to say, the angels’ and demons’ council gave me some kind of supernatural phone that allows me to communicate with you”

“What? Wait aren’t you supposed to go to heaven or something.”

“Well, that’s the thing, remember all those stories we used to read about angels and fallen angels and dark ones and demons? Well they’re real and guess what?  my real mum was a demon and my dad was a dark angel, and I’m the product of a sacrilege, long story short I wasn’t supposed to be born and now they don’t know what they’re going to do with me.”

She burst out laughing at that very moment.

“So what you’re saying is that you managed to confuse a whole a group of angels and demons. I don’t know what’s crazier the story, or the fact that I’m believing this”

“Look I can’t tell you any details before I gather around the whole group”

“Your friends, they all broke up, only Katy and Marilyn actually stayed together”

“I know. That’s why I need your help. Turns out I’m not dead, well I am but I didn’t die, I was poisoned, and I need your help to know who’s the murderer.”

“How come the doctors didn’t find anything?”

“It’s an old Latin-angelic-demonic potion kind of thing so humans can’t really detect it.”

“Who would want to murder you? And why?”

“Someone who wants to turn me into a demon, and the poison was in my water bottle. So this person might’ve poisoned my bottle at school.”

“Woah, you need all the help you can get. I’ll try my best to get the crew back I promise.”

“Thanks Mel, just handle Katy Marilyn and Michael, I’ll see Vanessa Bella and Mathew, I’m gonna head over there right now”

“Sure thing! and Amanda one last thing”

“Yes”

“I’m glad your back”

“If I wasn’t a ghost I would hug you right now”

“I love you, and adopted or not you’re still my sister”

“I love you more, and we’re still going to talk about that, but au revoir for now”

“Adios idiota”

“English French and Spanish, slow down woman” And with that I left to find Vanessa.

Well this is going to be hard

Unless

Eureka, I’ll join them altogether by sending them a text, and I’ll tell them together, that’ll save time. I went over to Melissa again, and saw her crumpling the letter she was writing, her "dropping-out-of-college" letter.

“Change of plans, I’m going to get them to show up at St.Grovers’ park at 6:00 today.”

“Okay I’ll be there too.” She said

“Let’s get this show on the road.”
