i got up to my room and blasted a new album that had been released. even though i was heartbroken about jacob, and i did love him very much, i felt some type of weight released off of my shoulders when i walked out of his house for the last time. it felt good to break up with him, never thought i'd say that.
40 mins later
i walked out of the shower. that was one of the longest but best showers i've ever taken. i dried my body and my hair and slipped on some sweats and a tank top. i walked downstairs to see satori watching anime on the downstairs tv. "ten!!!" i yelled his name as i ran down the stairs obviously very excited to see him.
"y/nnnn!!!" he sprang up from the couch and picked me up in a big bear hug.
"look i don't wanna see my best friend sad because of some dick okay?" satori said as he put me down. "he didn't deserve you in the first place, so we're gonna have fun tonight." he smiled widely.
"well then, what does the fun entail miracle boy?" i replied back sassily.
"i was thinking, baking, tv and maybe some dance parties " he said. i could tell her was as eager as i was to just chill out and have some fun us two together.
it's had been a while since i had spent some quality time with my best friend.

we went straight to baking cupcakes and brownies. i was gonna be on a sugar high. tendou made the mix while i made the icing for the cupcakes.
"how's it coming booger?" i teased using a random nickname. (pls why did i think of this and why do i think i would actually call him this for fun)
"almost done. what about you chicken shit" he responded making me burst out in laughter.
" here see for yourself" i said scooping some icing i had just whipped onto my fingers and brought them close to his mouth. he tasted it and instantly smiled.
"woahhhh. that's so good!" he exclaimed. i just giggled and said, "alright put the cakes in the oven and we'll watch an episode of (insert fav show name) while it bakes, yeah? " he vigorously nodded his head in response, excited to watch (show). it was both of our favorite shows and we always would watch it together.
we spent the rest of the night cuddling on the couch and ended up watching scary movies while we ate our delicious cupcakes. i'm quite proud of how they turned out considering i'm not the greatest assistant baker.

finally to top off the night we had so many dance parties to old throwback songs. the specific song "animal" by neon trees came on. me and satori looked at each other and sprinted to stand on the couches and jump around dancing like crazy people.
"HERE WE GO AGAIN! I KINDA WANNA BE MORE THAN FRIENDS SO TAKE IT EASY ON ME IM AFRIAD YOUR NEVER SATISFIED!" he screamed.
"HERE WE GO AGAIN! WE SIT LIKE ANIMALS AND PLAY PRETEND. YOUR JUST A CANNIBAL AND IM AFRAID I WONT GET OUT ALIVE!" i shouted back.
"NO I WONT SLEEP TONIGHT!" he yelled in.
"OH OH, I WANT SOME MOREEEEEEE, OH OH WHAT ARE YOU WAITING FORRRRRR TAKE A BITE OF MY HEART TONIGHT" we yelled dancing and facing eachother.
"OH OH I WANT SOME MOREEE, OH OH WHAT ARE YOU WAITING FORRRR, WHAT ARE YOU WAITING FORRRR TAKE A BITE OF MY HEART TONIGHT" we finished of the chorus, panting . after finally getting our breathing back to normal we started laughing because of how much fun we were having.

the song ended and i started thinking back to how i got here, i got cheated on. by my ex boyfriend, someone i thought i needed. i thought i loved him.
i constantly felt the need to try and 'up my game' and change who i was because of him. he always made me feel like i was never enough. the weirdest part about it all, was i didn't realize how little i was affected by loosing him.
here i was jamming out to music, barely dazed by the fact i walked in on him making love to another woman. i was so happy still. i guess my heart was set in happiness with someone else, my best friend.
