i observed him from afar seeing as he changed so much but still is the same person.
it's odd to see him in such a different light now.
my older lover, but now reduced to a stranger with a past.
it pained me to see him smile like that.
he used to smile with me the same.
still, i'm glad he can find happiness no matter how much it hurts me.
still bright as ever, naturally attracting people to him.
why couldn't i have been the one with fast recovery.?
why was i still hurting and he'd moved on so quickly.?
was i just another phase that people simply pass through.?
whatever the reason, didn't make it hurt any less.
continue living life. i'll be here, watching you grow.
rising above everybody's expectations.
while i stay stagnant.
slowly sinking into the ground, until i'm fully submerged by everything else that gets left behind and forgotten.
