Blue's P.O.V
Morning came slowly as the air was thick with the stench of rotten flesh and fresh blood that the humans could smell just as well as me. Daryl had taken me down to the pound in the gravel pit and washed away all the blood and dirt in my fur. This process was uncomfortable in my opinion due to my bruised ribs. Not to mention the water was cold as shit. Daryl tried to be careful and would apologize everytime I whinpered or flattened my ears. When bathtime was finished Daryl dryed me with a towel and stood to walk away but stopped when he noticed I wasn't coming. I stood at the waters age looking down. Truthfully I felt guilty, guilty for so many losses. I kept thinking that if i had been quicker i could have killed more walkers and saved more people.
I'm not sure how but Daryl seemed to know exactly what I was feeling because he came back to me and keeled down putting a hand on my head softly patting me. "You did the best you could Blue, your a good dog.". I wagged me tail and sighed accepting his words. Then a evil thought came to mind, time to cheer him up. In a blink of an eye I had spun a circle and splashed water all over Daryl's face. He jumped up in surprise and looked down at me. Wagging my tail I smiled a doggy grin and trotted over to him happily. All he could do was smirk and shake his head as we slowly made our way back to the camp to find out our next plan.
Hey guys, I know I haven't updated in a while and I'm truly thankfully for all the support I've be given. This is a short chapter but I fun inside one. A new big chapter will be out in a day or two depending on my work. I always want to say a big thank you to all the people for the condolences they've given me.
