There were noises in the background and the voices of someone, who seemed to be a woman and her husband, but she trusted him so much that she assumed it was a friend or coworker and they were simply talking or working, but it still seemed quite enough. strange because of the schedule.

He struck once more, afraid of finding something he didn't want, and with a frown and feeling great anguish, fear and nerves in his chest. The sound of a key in the lock was heard, and the door opened revealing her husband without a shirt, with his mouth open when he saw her standing there, and a woman behind him with underwear and her shirt on, both disheveled. He could also visualize a bottle of champagne and saw an open condom package on the floor. I don't need to hear or see anything else, Derek was shocked with his mouth open quietly, looking at his wife, while that girl frowned confused by the situation and the awkward silence.

Meredith felt her eyes fill with tears, but still her legs did not move, she was frozen, and she saw how her world was falling apart, how the love of her life had betrayed her in the worst way. His mind in these ten seconds was filled with memories of the two of them being happy; the exam rooms, his post-its, his children, his fights, sex, his reconciliations, family moments, talks and much more.

Meredith never imagined having to divorce Derek, never imagined getting into a situation like this with him, always thought that they would die together, embraced when they were both one hundred and ten years old. Honestly neither of them knew how to react at this precise moment.

Those three words were enough for my world to come crashing down on me, I'm a fucking idiot, she's pregnant with my son and I'm cheating on her. I don't know what to say, what to do, how to respond or react, I love her so much that it hurts, I love her more than anyone else, and at this precise moment I realize how strong this love is and how I cannot live without it, and how I'm losing her for being a fucking cheating bastard.

It was a one time thing, a one time disgusting mistake, and I deserve death by making her cry this way, by failing the love of my life like this.

And just at that precise moment he fell to the ground, his vision began to blur and he only heard Derek's cry, to collapse on the ground.
