Ice Age: The Meltdown

Chapter 1

     I was fixing to jump onto a slide before Diego stopped me. "What are you doing," he questioned as he set me down quite a bit away from the water. "I was about to swide down the swide. But you stopped me," I said, still having some trouble with words and looking behind Diago. "You don't know how to swim." rolling my eyes at this considering it was one of the more shallow pools here. "Pwease when I was in the water earlier I was a complete head above the water and managed to do some stuff on my own."

     "Yea not happening. Now go run around, away from the water thank you." Diego said before I could run off again. "Having some problems,"

     "Other than a weird kid in my possession, no," Diego and Manny talked as I ran from the scene to where some other kids were. The kids were running around and giving Sid a hard time before they strung him up like a pinata. "Wait! you're supposed to wear blindfolds,'' The sloth said stupidly. "Ok," was the reply he received before they started to hit him.

      "Ow, ow, ow, Oh [Y/N] could you um help me out a bit," Sid said a bit more quietly towards the end. When the kids looked at me they looked like they dared me to do something. After a second, a thought came to my head, "hey why are you wooking at me? I personawy think that you should hit him harder if you want him to crack." I said as all the kids' faces lit up and agreed with me. I could hear Sid gulp as the kid hit him so hard that he went a few feet.

      "Aw, there's no candy in him," once the leader said that the other kids deflated until one suggested we bury him immediately, improving the mood. When we got him in the hole a kid started to jump on him so he could go into the ground more. "Hey, hey whoa, who said you could torture the sloth."

      "Manny don't squash their creativity," Diago said while looking at the group as I tried to sneak away. "Hay Manny, Diego, My bad mammals-jammals. Wanna give a sloth a hand." As Sid finished Manny helped pull him out of the ground.

      I was quickly stopped in my goal to escape as I was picked up by my scruff. "Come on. I didn't do anything." Diego just rolled his eyes before setting me down as Sid started to talk, "Look I opened my camp. "Campo del SId" means Camp of SId." 'why would you open a camp? You can barely walk on your own.' I thought as Diego spoke, "congratulations you're now an idiot in two languages."

"Shush not in front of the K-i-d-s. These guys love me right, billy?"

     "Don't make me eat you," The Glyptodon said as I walked over to them. "Would you really eat that junk food." some kids snicker as Manny gave me a furrowed look. "[Y/N], Get over here," Manny commanded as Diego was looking everywhere but at Manny when he looked at him. "Look I told you, Sid You're not qualified to run a camp."

     "What do qualifications have to do with child care? Besides, these kids look up to me, I'm a role model to them," as Sid finished a couple of kids tied his legs up and pushed him causing him to tumble until he was in front of him. "I can see that," Diego said, making Sid get a bit upset. "You guys never think I can do anything, but I am a member of this herd. I made this herd, so you need to start treating me with some respect." Once Sid finished he started to hop away as I followed him so he wouldn't do anything stupid.

      "I can do stuff. Would it kill them to give me their stupid respect? I'll show them." Sid rambled before jumping back when I got in front of him. "What are you doing?" I ask as Sid calmed down. "I am going to receive the respect I deserve."

     "Sid, Whatever you're planning, don't do it. I don't want to see you killed." As I said that sid got the vine off. "Pfft please, when have I ever nearly gotten myself killed," as soon as the words left his mouth I gave him a look before following him. "Look I don't need a kid telling me what to do," he then started to climb up to the most dangerous slide in the park. "Are you sure about this? Going down the Evis-..cera-..tor. Onwy idiots do that, so pwease don't prove me right."

     "Please like I am going to take advice from a toddler who can barely speak properly," I then glared at him and got into a pouncing position. "You have 10 seconds to run." as the words left my mouth Sid ran to the top of the slide. " 10...8...6...4...2..Now!" I then bolt after him until we reach the top of the slide. "Hehe that was fun, maybe we couwd do it again when you aren't busy," I said as he gave me a look before going to the edge. "OK, I'm gonna jump on three!" I then heard the commotion as Sid started to count and stall for time.

      After what felt like forever Diego and Manny came to get Sid. "Sid what are you doing? Get down from there," Manny immediately said. "No way I am going to be the first off the Eviscerator and then you will have to show me some respect."

     "You jump and the only respect you get would be from the dead." Diego then decided to put his two scenes in after Manny said that, which apparently gave him the motivation to jump. Manny quickly caught Sid as he jumped before they slid backward hitting Diego onto some thin ice. The ice started to break into the water as Diego ran and jumped onto Manny's face. "Diego retract the claws please," Manny said as I walked up to him. "You ok?" He nodded before turning to the now-melted lake. "If I didn't know you better, I'd think you're afraid of water...Ok, ok. Good thing I know you better."

     I overheard Sid say before turning to see Diego having a hold of Sid's neck. "Guys, Fast tony was right. The ice is melting," Manny said as They came over to us and stared at the large body of water.
