chapter 8. [hogsmeade]

"y/n, right?" a voice said and i turned to see that ted tonks guy, what does he want?

"sadly." i said and was leaving the library until he caught up to me. aight whats happening? i finally faced him, although reluctantly.

"i just wanted to ask you out to Hogsmeade. since its a hogsmeade weekend tomorrow." he smiled and i wanted to say no, but. he is cute.

"sure." i agreed and his smile got bigger. "alright, ill pick you up outside your common room." he said and waved. i got outside and headed towards the common room since i wanted to rest.

i sat down at the common room and decided to read fantastic beasts and where to find them, since it's the only book i have on me right now.

"y/n!" someone said, great. i looked up from my book to see Andromeda and narcissa. i cant escape them cant i?

"a little birdie told me you're going out with ted tonks?" Andromeda sat next to me and I just continued reading.

"yeah, what about it?" i asked, is she prejudiced against muggle-borns too? godric.

"nothing, it's just that he's been staring at you a lot since first year. i guess he finally had the courage." she explained and before i could say anything she was gone. first year? damn. i continued reading, hoping that no one else would disturb me but someone did.

"l/n." a voice said i recognized to be snape. why does everyone keep bothering me?

"what do you want snape?" I asked him. we weren't that close and i think he considered me to be his enemy cause, well. James?

"the head boy told me to give you this." he said to me and handed me the timetable, shit. I forgot to take that.

"thank you, i guess." i muttered and took the time table from him. i went back to reading but i felt snape still being there.

"aren't you gonna go?" i asked him and he just walked away. weird.

-next day-

why did i agree to go to Hogsmeade again? i could've just slept. but i just had to go to Hogsmeade. i got out of the common room, sighing. i scanned the outside to see if ted was there and voila, he was there.

"hi, tonks." i walked towards him, i wasn't really comfortable using his first name since we arent close.

"just call me ted." he chuckled and i just half-smiled, clearly tired.

"okay, teddy." i mocked him and he just chuckled more. we went outside to the carriages and sat on one. this is going to be a long day.

"can we go to honeydukes for a second?" i asked him, excitedly and he just smiled and said yes. we went inside and i immediately went for the chocolate frogs. not only because of the taste, but also because of the cards. i bought four just because. i also bought two chocolate bars.

"you like chocolates huh?" ted asked and i nodded while smiling. when we went outside we walked towards the three broomsticks in silence. i looked around to see some gryffindors and hufflepuffs talking and some slytherins just eating. we went inside and sat down as we ordered our drinks.

"so uh you're a champion right?" tonks asked me and i just nodded.

"well if you need any help, just find me." he smiled and i returned it. "i might just take you up on that." i replied.

"so, tell me about your date." lily asked as soon as ted and i shared our good byes.

"it wasn't a date." i rolled my eyes and she just laughed. was it a date? i could've sworn we were just going as friends. but if we were going as friends he could've told me.
