(Yoonmin) Here, It's Safe

Yoongi woke up to a weight shifting on his bed. It didn't take long for him to know who it was. The presence of the boy was enough to have his heart beating faster than usual, and it made him feel feverish. But it was the smell of his coconut shampoo filling the hair, that gave Yoongi goosebumps and certainty.

It's been only a couple of seconds, but Yoongi already feels like he's burning from the intensity of the other's stare. Trying not to startle Jimin, he moves slightly to the right, squeezing his body against the wall. In the few seconds that Jimin stares at the floor instead of him, Yoongi whispers: "Are you okay?"

Jimin jumps a little but quickly focuses his attention on Yoongi. "This is gonna sound silly but..."

Yoongi's heart picks up the pace, as what feels like an eternity of silence goes by. "But?" He asks gently.

"I just had a nightmare about you." Jimin takes a deep breath, and Yoongi can feel him shaking. He prompts himself up with his elbows, and sits on the bad. He grabs Jimin's hands and pulls him close.

"Hey, hey" he whispers, patting the younger one's cheeks. "I'm here, okay?" Yoongi holds Jimin's chin and wipes a tear off his face. "It's gonna be okay."

Jimin lets himself be dragged into Yoongi's arms, relaxing after realizing that he was indeed safe, and not alone. Yoongi rubbed his back until Jimin stopped crying. Jimin hugged Yoongi and tried to let his hold communicate all he wanted to say.

After a few minutes, the room was again silent. Without letting go of Jimin, Yoongi shifted their bodies so that they were both lying. He covered them with the baby blue blankets and tried to relax against Jimin's body.

Jimin moved closer to Yoongi and rested his head on his chest. He allowed Yoongi's heartbeat to lead him to sleep.

Here, he was safe. Here, he was with him. It's gonna be okay.
