Yoongi isn't scared of most things.

He doesn't scream at jump scares in horror movies like Hoseok, or cover his face and hide like Jimin. He doesn't run away screaming when a bee flies towards him like Jungkook does, nor have a mid-life crisis at 26 when the maknae's enter a room with a knife like his hyung and leader. Taehyung was a close second, with his fear of heights barely coming into his everyday life. but Yoongi could confidently say he was scared of the least number of things.

That being said, that number wasn't zero.

Granted, it was close. but not quite.

Thunderstorms were a puzzle to the rapper. He had no idea where the fear itself came from, but it was certainly there and looked as though it had no intentions of leaving anytime soon. Thankfully, they didn't happen very often, and when they did he made sure to take precautions (meaning locking himself inside his studio all night as to not alert the other members of his... his condition.)

He had an app on his phone that would alert him of any upcoming thunderstorms, which allowed him time to collect himself and hide away in the small room. He quite often did this anyway, so it raised no suspicion if he spent the night there. Yoongi pretty much relied on the simple app, as he didn't know what he'd do if his members found out about this weakness of his.

So when his phone died during the middle of producing (he'd forgotten to bring his charger) and left to go home, he had no idea.

It started off as just a light rainfall, making the boy groan.

Of course i'd forget to bring my umbrella the one day it decides to rain. He took off his jacket and held it over his head, trying to shield himself as much as he could from the downpour.

And it seemed to just keep getting heavier and heavier, with the raindrops drumming against the ground rather aggressively and in large amounts. A shiver ran up Yoongi's spine. The cold was starting to take a toll on his exposed body.

But when the first rumble sounded, he felt his heart drop to his stomach.

It grew louder, and louder, until the sound was ringing in his ears. The boy started to speed up, probably only about two minutes away from the dorm if he ran a little faster.

I can deal with the thunder. I can deal with the thunder. I can de-

The blinding lightning strike took away his breath for a few second. he felt his eyes start to fill up, lip trembling as he dashed into a full on sprint towards the dorm. He did little to hold the tears back, letting them freely fall down his cheeks as he ran. With every strike, Yoongi felt his entire body jump, a hair width away from having a full on breakdown in the middle of the street.

And when the front door leading into the dorms was finally right in front of him, he let out a pitiful sob. His keys were in his hand as he desperately tried to unlock the door. But his hands were shaking so much he couldn't get the key in the keyhole itself. He was growing more frustrated and upset with each failure, until he dropped the key on the floor.

He remained frozen for a few seconds, before bending down onto his knees and letting out the most heart wrenching sob.

He couldn't do it. He couldn't open the door and he was powerless against the storm.

Yoongi was only sitting there for a few minutes, but it felt like a life time. He was wet, shivering and gasping for breath as he struggled to breathe, when a hand reached down gently on his shoulder.
