"Sorry about this, we tried to rein Alice in," Carlisle apologised after he and Esme hugged Bella.
"Like that's even possible," Esme smiled.
A small flash went off and attention was drawn to Alice who was holding a small digital camera.
"Found it in your bag. Mind?" Alice directed at Bella and Tony smiled at the antics.
Emmett makes a move to tease Edward about dating an older woman, given Carlisle had told Tony all their mock ages as well as the gist of their actual ages Tony could see the humour in the joke.
It made Tony laugh internally when Rosalie stepped up to Bella and handed her a silver-wrapped present.
"It's a necklace. Alice picked it out," the blonde woman curtly spoke before retreating.
Jasper and Bella greet each other with a wave which was about the same response that Tony got. Though he supposed that it would be hard for Jasper to be around his emotions for the dark shadow that hung behind him at times - again more information Carlisle had given him more recently.
When Tony looked back at Bella she and Edward were in an embrace that Alice snapped a photo of. It was cute, Tony decided that the pair were so totally in love that it was cute. Edward seemed to sense the thought and glanced at Tony with a slightly warmer attitude than normal.
"Now, time to open your presents!" Alice pulled Bella over to a table that Tony sat ignorant about until he saw the presents and massive cake that almost made him start in hysterics.
"Alice that thing can feed fifty, there's only T- erm, Mr King-"
"Tony's fine out of class," the ginger chuckled and ignored the fresh sense of estrangement that tried to slam its way into his mind.
"Well," Alice cut in, "I hope the two of you are hungry."
"Here," the bubbly vampire handed another present to Bella, "This one's from Emmett."
Everyone migrated towards the table, Jasper staying a bit back as well as Tony though for likely different reasons.
Bella opened the gift only to find an empty car radio box.
"Already installed it in your truck," Emmett beamed.
"Here's Tony's!" Alice cut in before Emmett could insult Bella's red truck that Tony had seen in passing.
"You didn't have to get me anything," Bella suddenly wound up at Tony.
"Eh, I had to pick up some things so it was no hassle at all," Tony brushed off, the casual attention making his skin crawl a bit, "Hope you like it."
Bella opened the gift to find a copy of 'Jane Eyre' she regarded with curious eyes. After skimming the blurb she offered a new type of smile, a horribly awkward but real smile.
