Marissa POV:

The came to a stop, and we stepped in.

"Where to?" The driver asked. My parents told me never tell anyone we don't know our address, so, I told him the address of the house next door to us. The Johnson's house. They won't care since their on a trip to New York.

The highway wasn't as crowded as it normally was. We kept driving strait, until a car came out of nowhere. The car came crashing into the car we were in! I grabbed Vanessa's hand, and we went flying out of the car! We landed hard on the road. The taxi and the sleek black car that ran into us, both burst into flames. I wanted to scream, but I had to voice. I wanted to run into my mother's arms, but she wasn't here. I wanted to grab Vanessa's hand and run far away with her, but I was in too much pain, and covered in too much blood to move. Then I remembered the story we read in English class. I knew Vanessa remembered it too.

"See you in another life." I croaked out. I knew that if I was going to die, and hopefully come back, I would find my best friend, if it was the last thing I do.

Vanessa POV:

I was bloody. Marissa was bloody. I was in so much pain. I looked over to Marissa. No matter how much pain my neck was in, she was my best friend.

"See you in another life." Marissa said to me.

I knew that if I was going to die, and hopefully come back, I would find my best friend, if it was the last thing I do. "See you in another life." I replied. I closed my eyes. I was going to die. But if I had to die, my eyes would be closed. All I saw was the inside of my eyelids. I heard Ed sirens wailing. Then all my thoughts came to a stop. The world went silent.
