PLEASE READ!!
In order for this story to work, I have written the reader to be shorter than Shouyo. So please pretend that you're short (if you're taller than him).

I don't mean to offend anyone nor to insult anybody. But if you're offended by this, please tell me and I'll delete this one-shot immediately. That's all, I hope you like this!( ' ' )

Your eyes stared at the front of the class, where the teacher was having a discussion. This made it seem like you were listening but your mind was elsewhere.

You shouldn't have just gone to school if you couldn't be bothered to listen at the lessons since you have been dazed all day long. But you can't help it, you've been like this since yesterday, when Hinata told you that he plans to leave the country in order to pursue volleyball.

It's not like you were against it—you're actually very proud and happy for him; Hinata has never thought of giving up on his dreams when so many people had told him that it's impossible and that itself, is amazing.

The truth is, you've never really believed that Hinata is a regular on the volleyball team when you first came to know him. In the knowledge you possess—what the world has taught you was, only the tall ones are qualified and glorified in terms of physical sports. You never would've imagined that he's actually talented.

But it's not just his talent that brought him to where he is now—it's also his hard work and determination to excel and improve in volleyball. And Hinata has proved that he's more than what he seems, that he has a lot to give.

Hinata's optimistic nature is one of the many things you love about him. During your relationship together ever since you two were second years, your feelings for him only grew more each time he reminds you how great life really is.

You had a passing thought once when you two had first started going out that someday, you two will be strangers to each other and that your feelings will fade. This was the result of witnessing your peers becoming together happily then still breaking up in the end.

Of course, you didn't actually wanted that to happen because you loved Hinata with all your heart. It was just a lingering thought at the back of your mind, something that your defenses had set—thinking that it will lessen whatever pain you'll feel someday. But until today, your feelings for him never wavered. You can't even imagine being far away from him.

Although when you first met him, dating Hinata back then never crossed your mind. He appeared like the usual goofy boys around your age, with no outstanding feature. Well, the girls your age in Karasuno High School were more interested in Kageyama and Tsukishima—since they offered what you'd expect from a male lead in a shoujo manga.

However, you were excluded from those girls since you thought Tsukishima is too tall for you (you'd look like a kid beside him), while Kageyama seemed unapproachable. And your type back then was Tsukishima's friend, Yamaguchi.

Anyway, you and Hinata first met—or actually, more like you first noticed him—at the school's cafeteria. They were selling a one-time meat sandwich so the students were all going crazy about it to the point that the line got really long.

You didn't have much appetite back then and only bought two sandwiches that your friend recommended you—which was a creamy egg sandwich and the sought meat sandwich. Hinata was in the line behind you, so when he asked for the meat one and they told him that they gave the last one to you, you stopped your tracks when he sighed in defeat.
