Song for the chapter>>>>>>>>>>
The last chapter was the exciting climax. So this chapter is more of a filler. But please still read it.

Vall's P.O.VIt seemed like I'd been walking forever.
Like no joke.
My feet were about to fall off. I hadn't seen any sign of the end of the forest. It just seemed to keep going forever.
Kind of like the Those bags that you keep pulling stuff out of. It's like where does that shit come from. Wow that was weird anyway.
I hadn't really thought about this part of my plan. Yeah sure when I got out I wanted to go home but I couldn't get there.
I was completely and utterly lost. Running into the forest was my safest option at the time but now I'm not so sure.
I'm stuck in the middle of no where but still surprisingly calm. Ok maybe not.
I decided to climb a tree and sleep there for the night. Hopefully in the morning I could find my way out.
I fell asleep that night thinking about my future.
And what it held.
I wanted to see my mom and brother one last time. I wanted to be in the house I grew up in one last time. I wanted to tell my friends everything but I knew I couldn't. It would just put them in danger.
But most of all I wanted to get the key and get the hell out.
I needed a new life.
To be in a place where no one knows who I am and what I've done.
I'd like to think I'm not running away from my problems, but it's true.
I ran. I ran like a coward.
But what's done is done. And I'm definitely not going back.
I slowly drifted into unconsciousness listening to the soft breeze that rustled the trees. It was almost silent. There was a slight noise coming from an animal down below but I didn't pay attention to it.
When I woke up the sun was shining just above the horizon. The new light flooded the sky creating contrasting colors to the cold night.
The sunrise was beautiful.
I stretched my arms careful for to fall out of the tree. My stomach growled in hunger as I climbed down.
I didn't see anything to eat so I kept walking in what I hoped was the right direction.
After about an hour I came across a small river that had some berry bushes by it.
At that moment I was happy my mom made me do Girl Scouts. I recognized them as non poisonous.
Sitting on a large rock I ate the berries and drank the cool river water.
When I was done I decided it would be a good idea to follow the river. I mean towns were usually by rivers right?
I walked slower than yesterday because I kept picking up stones and skipping them across the water.
I'm not sure how long it took me but I came across a bridge that ran over the river.
It looked like a running path.
Hope sparked in me. I went over to the path to see a sign. It pointed in the direction of the town.
And it was only a mile away!
With a spring in my step it followed the path. It led me through more trees but they seemed more lively.
