Aleena sat in the library reading Harry Potter and the order of the Phoenix for the second time that day with a frown on her face. She knew she was approaching the death of Sirius black and knew no matter what nothing could save him. No one could save him from slipping into the veil. Not Remus, or Harry, or anyone else. He would just be gone.

A tap on her shoulder startled her. She looked up to see the librarian. A kind young woman named Addie who was only two years older than Aleena.

"Oh, hi Addie."

"Hey, I saw you by yourself and wondered if you wanted a reading buddy?"

"Uh, sure." Aleena shrugged. Addie smiled and sat down next to the blonde.

"So why are you alone? You're usually with that blonde or the boy with the messy hair."

"Oh Gwen is at work and Peter had... stuff to do." Aleena replied lamely.

"It's been a while since you've been here. I missed you in the fantasy section."

Aleena smiled brightly at the woman and held up her book. "I guess I missed the fantasy section too. But what about you? What's been going on?"

"Oh not much, I lead a pretty boring life. I broke up with Carter a couple months ago so that sucks."

"Oh I'm sorry. What happened?"

"Well we both realized we wanted different things, my thing was being a librarian, hers was moving to Virginia. But I guess that's life, you know. I'm not too heartbroken about it, I think I knew it was going to end for a while."

"How'd you know?"

"Well... I could feel that we were slowly falling out of love, which is completely normal, I just didn't feel the way I used to when I saw her, it didn't feel like a relationship, more like a chore."

"Oh, well I'm glad you've finished your chores." Aleena joked and the two shared a laugh.

"I missed talking to you, you should come in more often. You brighten the place up." She complimented.

"Maybe I will." Aleena replied smiling.

Addie nodded before standing from her chair. "I should get back to work, books aren't going to put themselves on shelves. No matter how hard I wish they will." Addie joked before she started to walk off but stopped mid-hallway and turning back to Aleena who had gone back to Harry Potter. "Hey Aleena?" Addie called and Aleena looked up. "Would you maybe want to go to dinner tonight? To catch up more?"

Aleena thought it through for a second before nodding. "Yeah, sounds great Addie."

"Perfect, I know this really great new Korean place, they have good Korean meatballs. I could meet you here at 8:00?"

"That's sounds incredible." Aleena told the older girl with a smile. Addie nodded with a small smile playing on her lips before walking off to the Guinness world records to sort them correctly.

Aleena smiled a bit as she turned back to her book. But she couldn't focus on the book at all. Her mind kept replaying the conversation she had with the 19 year old librarian, specifically the part about her and Carter wanting different things.

She couldn't help think of Peter. Feel like they were on different paths, with him being Spider-Man and she a future CEO. And how he was always asking about Gwen to the point she felt jealous which wasn't very often. She feared their paths were too different. That they were drifting apart too much.

When she went home she immediately went up to the roof waiting for Peter. Eventually she got bored and jumped up onto the ledge to walk on it like a balance beam.

She heard someone land on the concrete ledge behind her and her heart sunk knowing it was Peter.

"I thought I told you not to go on the ledges anymore." His voice jokingly told her.

"No, you just told me not to jump off of them." She replied frowning. She jumped off the ledge onto the roof and heard Peter following suit.

"Same difference." Peter shrugged. Aleena bit her lip nervously as her stomach twisted into knots feeling like she was going to vomit. "Are you okay?"

"Um, I don't know." She admitted finally looking up at the messy haired boy.

"What's wrong."

"We need to talk Peter."

"Talk?" Peter asked with a small confused grin.

"Talk, Peter." She replied emphasizing the word and Peter's face dropped into a frown.

"Oh."

"Yeah."

"D-Did I do something wrong?"

"N-No, I just, dear god this sounds fucking cheesy, it's more me than you. I feel like we're just on different paths, you know? Like we're drifting apart, what with you being Spider-Man, and me with... I just feel like we need some time apart."

"I can be better-" Peter protested as tears formed in his eyes.

"No, Peter there's nothing you can do. I just can't be with you now, I'm breaking up with you."

Aleena watched a tear fell from his eye as he nodded. It broke her heart to see him like this.

"I'm sorry."

"Don't be sorry Peter, I think you should go."

The boy nodded again before swinging off the rooftop. Aleena rushed down to her apartment and into her room.

She stared up at her ceiling as tears slowly streamed down her face into her blonde hair and ears.

She heard a knock on her door before it slowly opened and Misha walked in. He saw his little sister in tears and frowned. He walked to the bed and moved her under the comforter before going underneath them himself and holding her in his arms.

Peter swung through the city with tears clouding his mask, his heart broken.

He didn't know what he did wrong. He thought she was happy. He wanted to scream, he wanted to go back and grovel at her feet for forgiveness.

He let his body control his actions as he absentmindedly swung through the city.

He was surprised to find himself at the abandoned warehouse they had their 'first date' as Aleena liked to call it.

"Do you know how to skate?" Peter questioned.

"Oh no, never learned." Aleena responded giving a small smile.

"Would you like to?"

Peter frowned at the memory and climbed up to the rafters.

He suddenly landed onto the table she was standing on nearly knocking her over but he caught her at the last minute so if someone were to look at them at that moment might think he was dipping her.

"Hi." She whispered.

"Hi." He whispered back.

More tears welled up in peters eyes and he looked down at his mask.

"I am not wearing spandex!"

"Its so useful, its light and breathable and you can move all different directions!"

"No, I'll look ridiculous."

"You will not! You'll look cool!"

Peter rolled over on the beam he was laying on and sulked as he cried in the warehouse.
