The funeral for George Stacy was held on a rainy Sunday which in Aleena's book was quite contradictory (since it was SUN-day and all). Aleena had hated funerals ever since she was six years old. She had went to her great aunt Mary's funeral but kept running away from the casket in fear that the dead woman would spring back to life and eat her. Sure it was a stupid fear but the girl was six had a serious fear of zombies ever since accidentally walking in on her mom and dad watching Zombie Army so it was kind of justified.

Aleena held Simon's hand and Misha held Gwen's as they walked to the grave plot.

"Where is Peter?" Gwen whispered over to Aleena who shrugged.

"Sorry, I'm not sure."

It was a lovely funeral. They shot riffles and did the proper flag folding for the fallen captain. And nearly everyone the Stacy family knew was there, even flash showed up. The only person that wasn't there was Peter. Aleena knew why he wasn't there of course and she knew he was lurking on top of the church.

After the funeral Aleena was given a ride to Peters house since Gwen wanted to talk to him.

"Where have you been?" Gwen questioned as Aleena leaned against the post of the front porch carefully not to get wet.

"I..." Peter started but looked away unable to answer.

"My father died." Gwen stated as she started crying. "There was a funeral. They shot off riffles and they made speeches. Two of my teachers showed up, hell even flash showed up! Everyone was there except for you."

"I'm sorry Gwen."

"It was really shitty of you Peter."

"I can't.. I'm sorry but I can't."

"What are you saying."

"I'm sorry... I just... can't be friends with you anymore."

It was painful for Aleena to watch and in all honesty she felt like she was watching something she shouldn't be. She wondered if she should even stay here to hang out with Peter or go leave and comfort Gwen.

Gwen wiped away tears from her cheeks and turned to walk away but stopped before she opened the car door. "He made you promise didn't he?" She asked "To stay away from me? To keep me safe?"

Peter looked down at his feet instead of answering which was answer enough. Gwen scoffed and got into the car before it drove off. Aleena stood off the post and wrapped Peter into a hug. Peter wrapped his arms around her and kissed the top of her head.

The next day at school was strangely nice.

"Hey uh Watts." Flash called and Aleena grimaced, she was just starting to heal from her beating from Ben.

"Yeah flash?"

"Um... I told the guys not to mess with you anymore."

"What?" She asked confused.

"Yeah... Your um... Your pretty cool. I mean, I uh, Its our last year and we've all been dicks to you and I know it wont make up for shit but I am sorry for beating you up."

"Its alright, I heal quick."

"Yeah. I noticed. So you and Parker?"

"Yeah... any girl you have an eye on?"

"Yeah Rosemary Mullins."

"Girls lacrosse? Right?"

"Yeah, I have a date with her tomorrow."

"That's great flash."

"Thanks... you know I'm real curious... how are you graduating this year, your only sixteen."

"I skipped a grade so I went from seventh to ninth. And I turn seventeen in a month."

"I didn't know you in middle school though."

"I was always in the library and you were usually in the gym so..."

"Right... well it was nice talking to you Aleena."

"Nice talking to you too flash... thanks for not kicking my ass."

"No problem." He replied giving me a smile before waking away. He stopped by Peter giving him a bear hug from behind him. They had a conversation that Aleena couldn't hear but it seemed like they were friendly with each other now. Gwen and Peter locked eyes before the bell rang and they went to class. Or Gwen did anyway. Peter skipped the first ten minutes of class.

So Aleena sat behind Misha who sat next to Gwen and there was an empty spot behind Gwen and next to Aleena where Peter would usually sit.

Peter finally walked into class and headed straight to his seat.

"Late again Mr. Parker."

"Sorry. Won't happen again." He told the teacher.

"Don't make promises you can't keep Mr. Parker." The teacher scolded him.

Peter nodded before leaning foreword so the three of us could hear him.

"But those are the best ones." He whispered and a smirk formed on all four of our faces.

And just like that team spider was whole again.
