IT WAS SNOWING HARD AS THEY TRUDGED TO THE HOUSE. Honey's nose was bright pink.
Honey did not like the snow. She hated it horribly.
It was grey, dull, miserable. She was in no way equipped to handle the cold.
"I just wanna go home." she whispered to herself.
Reiner looked down at Honey who was shivering violently. He didn't want to say what he was thinking, but he was curious as to what she was talking about when she mentioned home.
Honey was an orphan, she didn't necessarily have a home.
Home was such a funny thing to Honey. She could call a million places home, but half of the time she had no idea which location she was referring to.
"We'll be there soon, here, hold on to my arm." he said, holding out his arm for her to grab.
Honey looked up at him to see a gentle grin beaming down at her. She wrapped her mitt around his arm and stepped closer to him.
She didn't need the physical support, Honey just needed warmth. Some kind of comfort to keep her going.
"Hey, where's Ymir and Christa?" Connie asked looking at Sasha.
Honey's eyes widened when she hears this. She had hardly realized that the two weren't with the group now. When they were almost at the cabin.
It was far too cold and far too late to go out for them.
She had to make a plan. There was no way that this expedition was going to end well.
They reached the cabin fairly soon. As soon as they reached the cabin, Reiner was quick to usher Honey to the bunks.
"Here, bundle up under the covers and get some rest. You're probably exhausted, Honey." he said, pushing her into a bunk that he determined to be the warmest in the room.
He opened his pack and handed her one of his shirts. She took it reluctantly and just held it in her hand for a moment, feeling the soft green fabric.
"Thank you, Reiner." she said, looking up at him with a kind smile.
He froze up at her sweet grin. She was good at that, making him weak with nothing but her own face.
"Uh, go to sleep, I'll be back to check on you in a bit." he said.
Honey wasn't stupid. She could hear the loud whispers of her comrades planning to go out into the storm to find Christa, Ymir, and Daz.
"Shit." she muttered to herself before flipping the covers open.
She stuffed her pack and other various items to make it look like she was sound asleep in her bed.
