Bad Hair Day

Val's POV

Poppy was able to have the rock band Bad Hair Day perform in a concert for all the trolls in TrollsTopia.

I was actually surprised she did that for us.

"Bad Hair Day! All right!" Branch shouts while wearing a rockers outfit.

"Branch? Since when are you such a huge fan of Bad Hair Day?" Poppy asks in surprise.

"Um, since you opened the door to inter tribal cultural exchange. Demo called it...my rock-wakening." Branch says to us.

"Huh." I say while staring at Branch.

"Poppy!" We hear Thundershock.

"Thundrshock!" Poppy says in surprise as we face Thundershock.

"I still can't believe you got Bad Hair Day to play here in TrollsTopia. You really came through on this one, Pop squeak. Pound it." Thundershock says before holding her fist out to Poppy.

Poppy was amazed and had stars in her eyes. After a few seconds, she went back to normal. "Sure." She then fist bumps with Thundershock.

What happened next caught me off guard a little.

Poppy wraps herself in her hair and screams.

I understand why she is so excited. Thundershock is having a closer bond with Poppy now.

Poppy soon comes out of her hair.

"Uh, anyway, I wanted you to meet Petra, my best friend from back home. She follows Bad Hair Day to all their shows." Thundershock says.

Just then, a troll with big blue hair walks over. "Guilty as charged." She says.

"Your best friend? Thundershock, how did I not know about this? I don't even have a personalized gift basket to welcome you. Good thing I have these emergency baskets." Poppy says while pulling out two gift baskets from her hair.

Both gift baskets were filled with cupcakes.

"Have this one. No, no, no. Have this one." Poppy says as she tries to decide on what gift basket to give Petra.

Petra takes one of the gift baskets from Poppy. "You must be that troll Thundershock told me so much about. The one who got her to go to Girls' Night. And you must be Val, the Peacekeeper of all music." She says to Poppy and I.

"Yeah, I am." I say with a smile.

"Yeah. And it wasn't that big of a deal. We made friendship bracelets!" Poppy says afterwards.

"Okay, Poppy, gonna need you to dial it back down to a single. Come on, Petra. You've got to see Rock Hollow before the show." Thundershock says before she and Petra run off towards Rock Hollow.

"What do you know? Thundershock opening up. Introducing you to her friend. It just shows how far TrollsTopia has come..." Branch starts to say.

Poppy looks down at the other gift basket while Branch was talking.

I have a feeling I know what she is thinking right now.

"You're thinking you should have given Petra the other gift basket?" I ask Poppy.

"Yes. Petra, wait!" Poppy says before dashing off.

Branch and I stand there while looking at Poppy disappear into the distance.

Branch and I are standing outside the concert Bad Hair Day is going to perform in.

I can tell that Branch is really excited to see them. And I don't blame him. Who doesn't love Bad Hair Day?
