Val's POV
I was walking in the forest right now.
It was really peaceful and quiet, which made everything calming for me.
But as I walking I trip on something.
I stand up and look at what I tripped over. It was a rainbow-colored egg.
I was confused on how an egg came all the way out here. Unless it accidentally fell out of it's nest or it was dropped here.
I pick up the egg and inspect it for a few seconds.
The egg had beautiful rainbow colors in a stripped-pattern. The egg was about the size of head, so I had to pick the egg up with both of my hands.
The next thing I do is take the egg back to TrollsTopia to ask if Poppy knows what kind of egg this is.
I soon make it to TrollsTopia and find Poppy walking through the villiage.
"Poppy!" I say as I walk over to her.
"Oh, hey, Val. What's up?" Poppy asks.
"I found this egg in the forest, and I was wondering if you know what kind of egg it is." I say while showing the egg to Poppy.
Poppy stared at it for a few seconds. "Hmm. I've never seen an egg like this before. We just have to wait until it hatches." She says.
I gasp in realization. "Does that mean I have to take care of it?"
"Yes, it does." Poppy says.
"Yes! I can finally have a pet! I'll take care of this egg with all of my heart!" I say before walking off.
I decide to go to Branch's bunker to show him the egg and to see if he knows anything about taking care of an egg.
Once I arrive inside Branch's bunker, I see him reading a book.
"Hey, Branch, look what I found." I say while showing him the egg.
"What kind of egg is that?" Branch asks.
"I don't know. Poppy doesn't know either. So I have to take care of it until it hatches. And I was wondering if you know anything about taking care of an egg." I say to him.
"Of course I do. The only thing you need to is make sure the egg stays warm, and you have to make sure nothing bad happens to it." Branch says.
"Wow. That sounds so easy." I say.
"I'm not so sure about that. It's a big responsibility." Branch says.
"Yeah, I guess you're right." I say. "Anyway, thanks for the help." I start to walk to my room.
The first thing I did once I get into my room is a collect few blankets. I then place the egg down on my bed and wrap the blankets around it. Now it's nice and warm.
All I need to do now is make sure nothing bad happens to it.
"This should be easy." I say to myself.
The next morning, I wake up and check on the egg.
But what surprises me was that the egg was cracked open. And there was nothing inside.
"Ah! What happened?! Did the egg hatch already?!" I ask myself.
I then hear a little squawk from that was coming from my bed.
I turn around to see a baby bird standing on my bed while looking in my direction.
How did I not notice it there? Or did it just get there now?
I walk over to my bed and get a better look at the bird. It was a parrot. The parrot had a very colorful patterns. The parrot had a rainbow gradient pattern on it. And the parrot also had long tail feathers. Each feather was a different color.
This is the most cutest and adorable bird I have ever seen in my life.
"Hey, there little one." I say to it.
"Hey." The little parrot says.
I was surprised the parrot is able to talk. I mean, I know that parrots are able to talk, but not when they are little.
"I'm Val. And I'm going to be taking of you." I say while holding my hand out to it.
The little parrot goes on my hand and I walk out of my room to look for Branch.
I soon find him sitting on the table while reading another book.
"Branch, look! The egg hatched!" I say in excitement while holding up the parrot.
"Branch, Look! The egg hatched!" The little parrot repeats in my voice.
I was surprised to that the little parrot is able to mimic what someone says and sounds exactly like them.
Branch looks up at the parrot in shock. "Whoa. Is that a parrot?" Branch asks.
"Yeah." I say.
"So what are you going to name it?" Branch asks.
"So what are you going to name it?" The parrot repeats in Branch's voice.
"Hey, stop copying me." Branch says to the parrot.
"Hey, stop copying me." The parrot repeats.
A name soon popped into my head.
"How about Echo? Since he repeats what we say and sounds exactly like us." I say.
"Yeah, that named definitely suits him." Branch says while glaring Echo.
I leave the bunker, with Echo on my shoulder, and look for Poppy.
Mind you, Echo is the same size as a growned parrot. And he is only a baby. So that means he is going to get bigger.
I soon find Poppy and walk over to her. And an idea pops in my head. "Hey, Echo, repeat what I said to Branch. But say 'Poppy' instead of 'Branch'." I whisper to Echo.
Echo nods. "Poppy, Look! The egg hatched!" He says to Poppy in my voice.
Poppy looks in my direction and is shocked to see the parrot on my shoulder.
"Wow, Val. That bird is beautiful." Poppy says to me.
"Wow, Val. That bird is beautiful." Echo repeats in Poppy's voice.
As expected, Poppy was surprised to hear Echo repeat in her voice.
"That's so cool!" Poppy says.
"Yeah. I named him Echo." I say.
"That name suits him." Poppy says.
"Yeah, it does." I say.
As it was time for bed, I make a little bed or Echo and put it next to my bed.
Echo hops into his bed and gets comfy.
"Goodnight, Echo." I say to Echo.
"Goodnight." Echo says in his parrot voice.
I turn off the light and go to bed, with Echo doing the same.
We soon fall asleep.
I am going to enjoy taking care of Echo.
