Hair Fracture

Val's POV

Branch, Thundershock, Dante, and I are  taking Poppy to the doctor's office.

The reason for this is because Poppy has a really bad hair fracture.

We gently place Poppy on the medical bed and wait for Doctor Moonbloom to enter and inspect the hair fracture.

"That's a bad hair fracture." Thundershock says.

"Guys, I really appreciate this, but you have to let me get back to the party. My hair is fine!" Poppy tries to reassure us.

But after Poppy says that, her hair cracks a little.

"Okay, maybe it's not 100%. But I can fix it with the power of positivity!" Poppy adds.

And after she says that, her hair cracks even more.

I cringe a little at this. I never had a hair fracture before, and I will probably not get one, but I can tell that it's a bad injury.

"I can fix it with the power of doctors!" Poppy says nervously.

Doctor Moonbloom does an x-ray on Poppy's hair and inspects it.

"Hmm. This is the worst I've ever seen." Moonbloom says.

This causes us to gasp.

Dante, on the other hand, faints. And acting fast, I catch him while still looking at the x-ray.

Doctor Moonbloom cleans her glasses and puts them back on. "There, I see much better now." She says.

I sigh in relief.

Dante wakes up and flies back up in the air.

"Queen Poppy, you have a significant hair fracture. How did this happen?" Doctor Moonbloom asks Poppy.

"She was overexerting herself." Branch answers for Poppy.

We all nod while saying "Mm-hmm."

"No, I wasn't. Here's what happened, Doctor Moonbloom. As you know, I've spent the last eight and a half weeks planning for TrollsTopia's Nine Week Anniversary, which is today. And all I was doing was normal party prep stuff." Poppy says.

Yeah, sure. Totally not overexerting herself.

Poppy continues to explain what happened. " Sprinkling sprinkle, streamering streamers, and lowering an unbelievably heavy commemoration statue of all six tribes holding hands in the spirit of unity."

Yeah, and that's how she broke her hair.

Doctor Moonbloom wraps a cast on Poppy's hair.

"So, you know, just a run-of-the-mill freak accident." Poppy finishes.

We all shake our head.

"Anyway, now that you gave me this hair cast, I can get back to prepping the Anniversary, right?" Poppy asks.

"No. Your hair has to heal. I'm prescribing one day total bed rest." Doctor Moonbloom replies.

Poppy gasps. "But... party... commemoration... statue!"

"I'm glad you're taking this so well. Now, I have a very fun Nine Week Anniversary to attend to. Excuse me." Doctor Moonbloom says before putting on party glasses and walking out the doctor's office.

"A whole day in bed?! But, guys, I need to be at that party, to obsess over every detail and plan for every eventuality however unlikely." Poppy says to us.
