After Kong attacked the helicopters escorting the 1973 Landsat expedition to skull island and downed the entire group, ex-Special Air service tracker James Conrad attempted to get to higher ground in order to get a better look at the surrounding topography. While climbing he touched what look like a vine but turned out to be a giant snake.
