The hyper laser cannon are used to attack godzilla who was attacking Tokyo cities many times for unknown reasons and are controlled by the military control. They are seen in many godzilla movies and on DVD. Though they are easily destroyed by Godzilla atomic breath attack when going over them and causing them to explode.
