Date night usually didn't end with splashing threw puddles and getting water in your shoes but sometimes things didn't go as planned.
It was one of those time.
Fundy and Dream had gone out to dinner for date night, the restaurant in question was only a couple of blocks down so the couple decided to walk, the night had gone relatively good the two had enjoyed a nice meal and the night seemed to be going great, until the two stepped outside.
Water was pouring from the sky and the two began to bicker
"I can't believe you didn't check the weather!" Fundy said clearly upset his fox tail wagging angrily.
"Well I didn't think it was gonna rain, I mean it hasn't all week!" Dream responded guiltly
"Well whatever I guess we're gonna have to run." The fox huffed irritated and not exactly thrilled to get wet in the pouring rain
The two began to run in a hurry to get home, only stopping to catch their breath when they found a place to hide from the rain.
The fox was still upset and wanted to yell and the other again but stopped when he heard the light giggles of his boyfriend,
he turned to look at him, the water droplets reflecting in the light made him look as if he was glowing. His body shook as he tried and failed to contain his giggles, his smile was warm and his eyes closed into crescent moons, any anger Fundy had for the other had melted away along with his heart.
Fundy reached for Dreams hand making the other look up at him with the same goofy childish smile, Fundy returned the smile and the two ran home together, hand in hand.
When the two finally returned they immediately changed from their wet clothes to warmer drier clothes and went to snuggle beneath the sheets, any anger left behind in the rain as the two held onto each other listening to the gentle sounds of rain pouring on their roof,
and they slept comfortably in each other's arms feeling safe.

"Ah choo!"
"Oh god I'm so sorry for not checking the weather this is all my fault"
"Oh Just shut up and c'mere and snuggle with me"
