"Akane onee-chan!" Mika wailed running to his older sister who was helping out at the school "someone kidnapped Yuu-chan!" he said tears welling in his eyes. Akane giggled knowing exactly what happened to the boy "ne don't cry Mika, Yuu-kun's just-" the small blonde dragged her to the corner of the room cutting her off, pulling her down to his height "we need to invesgate and- and- question everyone I'll be the- the person thing. T-the one who asks questions and solves the mystery!" Mikaela exclaimed pumping his fist in the air. The older of the two shook her head with a smile and decided to play along with the young child. "Okay, detective Mikaela what do we do first?" he looked around the classroom running over to what they called the story station. "Me, Yuu-chan, Yoichi-kun, Kimizuki-kun, Shinoa-san, and Mitsuba-san we're in storytime together with Okasan" Akane rubbed her chin and tilted her head to the side "here" she handed a small notepad and pencil to the blonde "here you can write down your clues, and suspects. So once were finished asking questions we can see who took Yuu-san" Mika nodded, eagerly sitting on one of the small desks to start writing the names of his classmates.
"Akane onee-chan I've finished! Look! Look!" "wow, can you count how many people are on your list?" "mhm, mhm" he smiled nodding his head "there are two, four, six!" "good job Mika-kun! Your a lot better counting by two's now" "thank you onee-chan but I'm not doing any better at finding Yuu-chan" The brunette looked to where Yoichi, Kimizuki, and Shinya sat. The two were tracing and coloring their worksheets while Shinya, their teacher who they call Okasan, watched over them. "Why don't you ask Kimizuki-kun and Yoichi-kun over there" she suggested pointing her hand towards the small group. "Mhm, mhm!" hummed Mikaela, The small child ran to his friends informing them that Yuu was missing which wasn't such a good idea "Y-Yuu-kun's gone?.. Okasan! Okasan! Where's Yuu-kun?! Did some take him?! W-we need to find him! What if he got an Owa!"
"Yoichi calm down Yuu's alright. Remember 1, 2, 3 breath in 3, 2, 1 breath out" The silver-haired teacher chuckled at the worried state of his student giving him a hug to calm the poor boy. "So want if he's not here? Sounds like a good thing to me. Yuu's never careful anyways always breaking things" Kimizuki commented, softly mumbling the last part "now, now, that's not how we behave here is it. It was an accident once Yuu-san comes back I want you to apologize to him okay?" The small pink-haired boy grumbled hiding his face from the tallest of the group nodding slightly.
"Okasan..." started the little blonde detective, tugging on the older man's uniform "can I help you, Mika?" the boy fidgeted with his hands twisting around his fingers "I was thinking how you know Yuu-chan's not getting owa's unless you know where he is..." Shinya looked a little stunned from the clever little 5-year-old's confrontation but smiled patting his head eyeing the little notepad in his hands "Yuu-san's brave is he not? I know that kid would bite anyone's finger off if he wanted to. You can ask your classmates if they know where he went thought think I saw him with otosan good luck with your case Detective Shindo" he saluted patting the boy's hair once more. Mika turned to his classmates who were laying, stomach on the floor, and tapped Yoichi's shoulder causing the boy to look up along with his pink-haired friend. "Mika-kun! Have they found Yuu-kun yet?" "not yet but I'll find him!" "wow, Mika-kun, You're so cool!" The brunette exclaimed eyes gleaming while Mika replied with a humble smile "you're cool too Yoichi-kun, I don't think you know where Yuu-chan is but do you know where he's been?" "hmm there, there. By the Rainbows" he pointed to the bulletin board covered with colorful designs, artworks, crafts, and a big Rainbow on the very top with red letters spelling out the word Welcome. "Arigato Yoichi-kun. Kimizuki-kun, anything to add?" "Yuu's a baka" "Kimizuki perhaps you'd like to go missing too" "please don't threaten the FIVE-year-old, Shinya-san," Akane said emphasizing the five to remind the silver-haired teacher that he was talking to a child. The female took Mikaela's hand bringing him over to where he wanted to go which was with his two female classmates who were being watched over by their black-haired teacher who, coincidence or not, looked a lot like his missing friend.
(They're secretly father and son. It's canon I mean he practically adopted him so tell me otherwise ù-ú)
The blonde walked over to the purple head, Shinoa, and his fellow blonde, Mitsuba who were playing with coins, candies, toys, and other random stuff they apparently stuffed in their bags. The young detective stared at the two quite concerned for their well being.
"Shinoa-san, what do you have here?" the brunette female asked, holding up a pack of white powder "oh Mitsu crushed my candy canes because she loss" 'how does a 5-year-old make hard solid candies look like powder..' Akane thought a little wary of the blonde girl. The lights in the room were shut off and a cry was heard which was later on identified as Yoichi's once a light source was turned on.
"Sorry Yoichi-kun, Okasan. I'm not sorry to anybody else cause you all are mean" "pfft-" The raven teacher let out not before being caught off though by his coworker who smiled widely at him "you weren't part of his list are you laughing at yourself then?"
"Ahem!" everyone suddenly looked over to where the source of the sound was all eyes landing on Mikaela  "Yuu-chan's not here and somebody here maybe.. Took. Him. A. Way!"
The blonde handed each one of them a piece of paper with sloppily written numbers labeling them from 1 to 6 number one being Kimizuki "Mikaela, honey, isn't this a bit much-"
"Shhh! Kimizuki-kun, maybe bad guy number one.. You didn't care at all that Yuu-chan was gone! In short, you were being yourself like always... But! Maybe you hid Yuu-chan cause he accidentally broke your crayons that is why you're mad at him.." he finished raising his eyebrow(s, he couldn't raise just one and ended up looking shocked ô-ô ) "number two, Shinoa-san. You're always teasing Yuu-chan and I and it's very possble that you are joking me and Yuu-chan" the short boy crossed his arms eyeing all his suspects "Tree(3), Mitsuba-san. Shinoa-san asked you or... I dunno-" Mika looked up then shook his head side to side "four an' five, Yoichi-kun and Okasan are out their too nice and are very smart" said duo grinned at the blonde who smiled back "now, Otosan! I think he took Yuu-chan because he is the people who I think would do it.."
The black-haired teacher waged a finger at the young child "No, is it cause I took him that one time? Why do you not like me I didn't even do anything to you kids" he sighed Mikaela doing the same, flipping through the notepad he held in his tiny little hand. Akane crouched down to his height peeping at the pages which instead of words, were filled in with scribbles and drawings. "So who do you think took him?" Mikaela hummed looking around and back to his notes "we we're in storytime.. Yuu-chan was coloring with Yoichi-kun when he accidentally broke kimizuki-kun's crayons..they fought Shinoa-san teased him, Mitsuba-san fought with her, everyone started shouting, Otosan-" the blonde gasped thinking he solved and gathered everyone "I know who took Yuu-chan!" he exclaimed with a stern tone eyeing the line on students and teachers. A few moments of silence passed, no one saying anything "who is it?.." the purple-haired asked lifting her index finger to her chin. Again a few moments of silence. "Who is what?" "who took Yuu-kun?" "ah right.. I don't remember.." everyone stared at the blonde the adults laughing and shaking their heads while the rest of the toddlers just looked confused. At that moment the door swung open with a thud revealing the one and only... "Yuu-chan! I was so worried! Where did you go?! Why did you leave me?! Do you know how worried you made me! I- I almost cried!" blabbered the blonde viciously trampling the raven-haired boy. "Mika calm down I wasn't even gone for that long, I know how to tell time you know" "yeah? How long were you gone?" the look-alike teacher asked with a sly smirk "...ten hundred hours!" Mika gasped shoving Yuu back to look at his face "so then are you hundreds and hundreds of years, old? I'm sorry I couldn't be a good mystery solver person!" he wailed shaking his head vigorously while rocking his poor friend dizzy. "Mika I'm only five.." "but you said-" "It was ten hours only! Ten hours!" "where even was Yuu-chan?" the blonde asked tilting his head to the side "I was in time out-" "...SO THEN IT WAS OTOSAN!"
