Divergent Desire

Chapter 1 (Tris)

I jump up after I hear the click of my brothers lamp turning off, after I check that Caleb's asleep I grab my flashlight  climb out my window and run over to a boy. "Tobias!" Tobias turns around and says  "Heya Tris, I wanna talk to you about something." He rubs the back of his neck and I slip my small hand into big hand.

"what's wrong Tobias?"

 "Oh uh... Tomorrow at the choosing ceremony... I'm going to leave abnegation. I'm sorry."

He looks down into my eyes probably thinking I'll cry or something like that, but instead I say, "oh...that's ok! I'll see you again right? When I change factions in a few years!" 

I say happily but then I become seriously, slowly getting closer to Tobias. 

"Um  but until then can you promise me something?" Tobias nods, and I find myself staring into his deep blue eyes. 

"Promise me that you won't forget about me?" he puts his hand on my cheek, "I promise Tris, I will never, Ever forget about you, As long as I live."

 He pulls a small box out of his pocket and pops it open, revealing a small white and gray bracelet.

 "Tris sense I am leaving tomorrow, I-I want to give you something to remember me by." 

He slides it on my wrist, "Thank you Tobias, it's beautiful." He whispers something along the lines of "Not as beautiful as you." I blush and notice only a few inches separating me and Tobias, I feel how much I want to close that gap when I remember,

"Oh ya, what are you planning on pick?" "Dauntless..." he responds a smile growing on his face, 

"I think you might be dauntless too."

"Why do you think that?"

"Because I have a theory that selflessness and bravery aren't all that different."

"Oh, really... If we're going to be dauntless... how about we do something Dauntless right now?"

"What do you-?" I cut him off, kissing him hard with him kissing back, until we break away to breathe, our foreheads touching.

 "I'm going to miss you so much Tris."

 "I'm going to miss you too Tobias, but I'll see you soon ok?"

I close my eyes and he kisses me again, but when I open them...
