[Hi reader! Thank you for choosing to read my fanfic :). I'm new to the fanfic community and this is my first one! I'm not sure how often I'll update since this is just a hobby, but I'll try my best to write pretty regularly. I'm really sorry if there are any grammar mistakes in this - I'm not amazing at grammar. The Umbrella Academy is one of my comfort shows so I thought I'd write a fanfic and see what people think! See you in future updates! Bye - Fern]

Darcie Hargreeves was no.8 of The Umbrella Academy, she fought alongside her siblings for almost all of her childhood - she was adopted a few years after the others as an extra. Darcie had olive green eyes and fair, nut brown hair that goes down to just below her shoulders. Her powers include invisibility and can control the blood inside others.

Her closest friends in the umbrella academy would definitely be Klaus and Diego. She never really saw much of Luther and Allison as they were almost always giggling together in the attic. Darcie had  always admired how Ben managed to keep Klaus in control - well most of the time. And as for Vanya, Darcie felt sorry for how their father always kept her away from the others. That's why whenever her sister had accomplished something Darcie would shower her with pride.  The disappearance of Number Five puzzled the girl for a while and she was never frankly sure if he would ever return.

-flashback-

When the Hargreeves children were 11..

" Darcie, get your butt over here!"  She could hear her brother Klaus calling for her across the hallway, she put down her sketchpad and headed over to his room.

"Wha'dya want Klaus?" The girl asked, slightly intrigued. "Shhh, quiet! Shut up and close the door." Klaus muttered from under what appeared to be a tent made out of spare bed sheets.

"Okay, okay." Darcie nudged the door shut with her elbow. "Now will you tell me what you're yapping about?" The girl hurried over to the poorly-built tent, "Wait is that a cat?" she  assumed. "No it's a dog, dummy" Klaus spat out in amusement. Darcie rolled her eyes slightly. She placed her gaze upon a rather mangy-looking tabby cat.

"Klaus ya'know mom will probably find it and make you take it out, right?"

"Yeah but it was just sitting alone where I found it." The daft boy uttered.

"Mmm where did you even find it-"

"Near the dumpster outside." Her brother replied bluntly, keeping his eyes on the cat in awe. 'Why on earth would he be by the dumpster?' The girl pondered in her head.

A boy with a small dagger in his hand pushed the door open, making Darcie fall out of her trance. It was Diego. "Hey what are you guys doing-" Klaus rushed over to the boy before he could finish speaking. "Get out! Your gonna give it away"  Klaus exclaimed on edge, one hand gripped onto Diego's  forearm.

The boy gave his brother a look of confusion and turned to the girl beside him. "What the hell is he talking about?"

Darcie sighed "Klaus got a cat."

"DARCIE YOU WEREN'T SUPPOSED TO TELL ANYONE" Klaus whined like a small child.

"What. Where is it?" Diego coaxed.

"In that shitty fort Klaus made."  Klaus jokily placed his hand on his chest acting offended, Darcie chuckled at the boy.

Meanwhile, Diego had made his way to the cat. "W-We need to get it out of here." He stuttered. "Why?" Klaus had a look of disappointment on his face. "Cause it's a liability!" Diego burst back.

" Pfft, liability for what? I mean, it's not hurting anyone is it?" Darcie defended.

"He's gonna get us in trouble!" The boy  seemed worried.

"Not if you stop yelling he won't!" She was tired of him being paranoid about Reginald. He always wanted to be number one and prove that he was more superior to Luther.

Diego huffed. "It'll be fine okay?" The girl gently eased, . "m'kay, fine." Diego slid out the room before the girl could see his flustered cheeks.

Darcie turned to face Klaus, "So..what are you gonna name it, I mean whilst it's still unseen?"

"Hmm, oh I know. What about broccoli?" Klaus exclaimed.

"What..why broccoli?" The girl playfully scoffed, intrigued by her brother's decision.

"I've never really liked the vegetable, so maybe this cat will convince me to actually like it! Mom always insists to eat healthy food even if I don't enjoy it, so this is a good idea." The boy blurted.

"That's a crazy idea!" The girl gave him a look of amusement.

"Yeah you're right.." The two burst into giggles.

[Hey so this is basically just a flashback and info about Darcie, so let me know what you think! :) Sorry it's kinda short. :/]
