~~~George's POV~~~
Where the hell am I?
Flowers still in my hand I let them fall to the floor. Okay I can't remember much. I can remember how I look. Out of all the names lost in the great abyss I do remember one. Mine. George. Well thats a start.
Glancing down at my left wrist I suddenly notice something. A small black watch is hooked around my arm. Examining it further It looks like it isn't able to be removed. Deciding to tug on it a part of it lights up. White words dance across the screen in front of me.
'Hello George'
'Welcome'
The words continue to move across the screen. My eyes don't dare to look away.
The word 'HUNTER' flashes across the screen in a dark yellow color, then fades as quickly as it came.
'Your goal. Kill the Traitor.'
Oh. Murder. Great. And how can I kill the traitor when I'm clearly the only one here. The screen turns black and doesn't show anything else. Thats all I get? No name or anything? Just the message 'Kill the Traitor'. Easier said than done. My arms drop to my sides as I take a big breath. I guess I should explore a little bit. Seems like I'm going to be here for a while.
I approach the crate on my right. It looks musty. A puddle of water is lying next to the box. Did it rain here? I'm not sure if opening the crate and revealing it's contents is the best idea. For all I know there could be something in there that will kill me. Part of me wants to die. I would rather be killed than take someone's life. I find myself hoping for death, begging for it now that I have no reason to live. Maybe if I could remember my life I would feel there was a reason to live. But my memory has failed me.
My hands grab hold of the crate in front of me. Carefully opening it to reveal the contents inside. Dang it. Nothing inside will kill me. But is probably intended for the use of me killing someone else. A shiny sword. There are other things inside but that specific one catches my eyes. The handle is a blue color that seems to be tinted yellow. Probably not tinted yellow for other people's eyes. Slowly my right arm snakes inside grabbing hold of the weapon. I pray that I don't have to use it. After the sword is removed and set on the ground next to me I examine the rest of the contents.
There is a pouch of apples, a smaller dagger, a compass which appears to be broken, and a leather satchel. Cool. I stick everything that can fit into my bag. Including the broken compass. The only thing that doesn't fit is the sword. I debate for a minute on leaving the weapon here, but decide against it.
Sword in my right hand I head towards the forest. Leaving the sunny field and beautiful flowers behind. I wasn't planning on going straight into the forest but there wasn't much of a choice. I need to find a good place to hide and being out in the open didn't seem like the best idea. The woods disturbing to say the least. Even though I knew it was still day, it felt like night because of how dark it was. The trees overhead were stubborn and refused to give way to the light. I would hate to be lost in here at night.
After walking for a few minutes I decided it would be smart to look for water. Seeing as the crate was not gracious enough to contain any. Ears perked I try to listen for any sound of running water. Sadly the hope that there is water nearby is demolished. My foots carry me forward deeper into the darkness. I wonder if I could just stay here, and not have to worry about finding a traitor. No one would have to die.
